Starting with the most important pocket of all, the main compartment has rear access to provide extra security for your photography equipment when travelling with your bag. Inside the main compartment is an internal storage cube that can be removed if you want to use the backpack as an everyday bag. The layout of the internal bag can be customised to fit all kinds of kits but has been designed to accommodate a pro DSLR camera and 3-4 lenses.

To the front of the rear compartment is a further two internal pockets designed for carrying up to a 13” laptop and a 10” tablet - ideal for editing on the go or catching up with admin work. The top of the bag also features a zippered compartment for all your bits and pieces… or even more photography kit.

Taking it a step further, Vanguard has also added pockets on the shoulder harness, elasticised side pockets, a built-in hydration pouch, an accessories pouch and an additional separate multi-function pouch for carrying a spare lens. There’s room for almost anything you could think of packing!

Vanguard has given extra attention to the ergonomics of their VEO Active 42 Trekking Backpack to ensure maximum comfort. Designed for carrying larger kits over longer distances, this bag features a cleverly structured aluminium frame that arches to the curves of your upper spine - so you’re not irritated by any bits digging in.

Vanguard also provides padded waist and shoulder cushions with a wide air-flow system so you’ve got a breathable storage solution for all kinds of climates. For even heavier loads, an adjustable chest strap is provided so you can choose how to spread the weight comfortably. Most external straps can also be removed or fixed around the bag when not in use, so nothing is left flapping around.

Built to Handle Your Hikes

To cope with the rigours of the wild, Vanguard has carefully constructed the VEO Active series with tough nylon 840D Cordura. This highly weatherproof and tear-resistant material is complemented by waterproof zips, high-quality herringbone and double reverse stitching - so no water can creep into any nooks or crannies. For even wetter days, Vanguard also includes a seam-sealed rain cover, so rest assured your valuables are safe, secure and well-protected.
