Viltrox DC 550 Pro 5.25 inch 4K HDMI Touchscreen Monitor
The Viltrox DC-550 Pro is a 5.25-inch Full HD monitoring screen built for shooters who need a bright, reliable view when working outdoors. Its 1200-nit panel stays readable in harsh light, and the touchscreen makes it easy to check focus, zoom into details, or adjust settings without breaking rhythm. With 3D LUT support, waveform tools and 4K HDMI loop-through, it gives a more accurate, confidence-building view than a camera’s built-in display.

FAQs:
What monitoring tools are built into the DC-550 Pro?
The monitor includes waveform, vectorscope, histogram, false colour, peaking, audio meters and focus assist overlays. These tools give a far more deliberate read on exposure and sharpness than a camera screen, especially when you’re lighting a scene or switching quickly between interiors and exteriors.
Can I load my own LUTs onto the DC-550 Pro?
Yes. You can import 3D LUT files through the SD card slot. Once loaded, they can be toggled on or off, which helps when switching between Log profiles or matching cameras on a multi-camera shoot. The LUT preview doesn’t bake into the HDMI output.
Does the monitor support focus checking by zooming?
Yes. You can pinch to zoom on the touchscreen to inspect any point in the frame, and the zoomed area can be dragged around. If you prefer physical controls, the buttons can also adjust magnification.
Is the DC-550 Pro suitable for outdoor use?
The 1200-nit brightness and the supplied hood make it usable in strong sunlight. While it isn’t weather-sealed, it holds up well when mounted on cages or gimbals for documentary or travel work as long as you avoid direct rain.
Can it pass through a 4K signal?
Yes. The HDMI 1.4 interface supports 4K up to 30Hz for both input and loop-out. This lets you monitor and feed another device without affecting image quality or introducing noticeable latency.
What’s the difference between the DC-550 and the DC-550 Pro?
The Pro version adds the touchscreen interface while still keeping full button control. The non-touch model relies solely on physical buttons, so the Pro is quicker to operate if you prefer gesture-based control.
