Bright HDR monitoring on set

ProRes and ProRes RAW straight from HDMI

The Ninja RAW records directly from your camera’s HDMI output to CFexpress Type B cards or external USB-C storage. In practice, that means you can bypass internal compression and capture Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, ProRes LT, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 HQ in a format that drops straight into professional editing software.

Files integrate cleanly with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer. If you are handing footage off to a colourist or finishing in-house, having ProRes or ProRes RAW as a starting point makes grading and delivery far more predictable.

Exposure monitoring tools

The Ninja RAW includes EL Zone false colour, waveform, vectorscope and focus peaking, along with other core monitoring aids. EL Zone provides a clearer understanding of exposure values in relation to stops, which helps when protecting highlights or working to a specific lighting ratio.

For continuity or VFX-heavy work, the Onion Skin overlay lets you compare frames directly on screen. That makes lining up repeatable movements or matching previous takes more accurate without needing a separate reference monitor.

Camera control and flexible connectivity

On supported cameras, USB-C control lets you adjust start and stop, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance directly from the Ninja RAW. Touch-to-focus adds another layer of control when the camera is rigged in an awkward-to-reach position.

Dual USB-C ports give you options. You can record to external storage or attach an optional network adapter, depending on the configuration of your setup. Power is equally flexible, with NP-F batteries, USB-C power banks or DC input all supported. Hence, the unit fits just as easily into a lightweight mirrorless rig as it does into a more robust studio configuration.
