AtomOS 11

Boasting the AtomOS 11 operating system, the new Atomos Shogun Ultra provides faster and cleaner viewing, with more features than its predecessor. Access to ELZONE System exposure and ARRI false colour, new scheduled recording and playback tools, and an increased number of standard codecs create an improved monitoring experience. The AtomOS software is also easy to update with new features and releases as they come out, including support for new cameras.

Streamline Your Workflow

The Shogun Ultra’s large, 7-inch screen lets you view and control your HDR images or footage anywhere. With 2000 nits of brightness, it’s suitable for use in any lighting conditions, whether indoors or outdoors, on or off-set. The SuperAtom IPS touch-screen enables easy access to the device’s features with an easy-to-use interface. On-screen monitoring tools and tools for focus, exposure, LUTs, and metadata enhance your workflow while supporting your creative vision. Users can easily access creative cuts or capture frame grabs with time-saving Onion Skin and Frame Grab features.

To integrate into professional productions, the Shogun Ultra is compatible with various industry-standard codecs, including 8K ProRes Raw, ProRes, DNxHD, H.265, DNx (QuickTime), and DNx (MXF - coming later in 2023) with the ability to capture RAW video via 12G-SDI or HDMI connections. Shogun Ultra includes NDI HD and access to an optional 4K TX, enabling you to send video over ordinary networks. Atomos AirGlu offers wireless timecode, sync, and control technology across multiple compatible cameras and audio devices, saving time in post-production. With RemoteView, you can instantly share a live feed of your footage or images over the internet for global viewing. The Shogun Ultra also enables new workflows like camera to cloud and Atomos Edit.

Powerful and Versatile

With the Shogun Ultra, you can enhance a wide range of compatible cameras with its powerful and versatile functions. For maximum versatility, you can choose the most suitable frame size, frame rate, and codec for your project and control start/stop functions from your monitor. It can record HDMI RAW inputs up to 8K at 30fps, 6K at 60fps, and 4K at 30 fps while simultaneously looping out standard YCC video via HDMI or SDI to non-RAW compatible devices. With SDI RAW compatibility, users can access high-quality, flexible footage for their high-end productions. You can also record dual 4K 60p ProRes Raw for post-production and HD 60p H.265, ideal for the cloud. When shooting Log footage, the Shogun Ultra lets you record more colour information and bypass your camera’s internal compression for up to 4:2:2 8-bit or 10-bit video to retain the best possible dynamic range.

It can pair with a wide range of DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema cameras and is suitable for any production, whether using a minimal hand-held setup or a full-sized camera rig. The lightweight monitor also has secure anti-rotation ⅜-16 mount points on the top and bottom and comes with a ¼-20 adaptor for flexible mounting on a wide range of industry-standard equipment. It also supports removable SSD drives to provide ample space and the necessary performance to record up to 8K video reliably.

Incredible Connectivity

Users can seamlessly integrate the Atomos Shogun Ultra into their workflows with multiple connectivity options. Wi-Fi 6 and GigE network connectivity ensure robust and stable internet connection essential for Cloud workflows. AirGlu RF and AirGlu BT enable long-range wireless sync and control and third-party sync and app control via Bluetooth, respectively. A separate SDI Out allows for comprehensive SDI to HDMI cross-conversion. Flexible powering options are available with the NP battery slot and 2.1mm locking jack DC input. The monitor is also compatible with an optional SSDmini adaptor and a range of 2.5-inch SSDs compatible with the included MasterCAddy III adaptor. For future updates, it has a USB-C port.

Shogun Ultra’s Wi-Fi 6E, Gigabit Ethernet, and ability to join cellular hotspots enables filmmakers, streamers, and content creators/producers to stream anywhere on a range of online services with Shogun CONNECT.

What is Atomos RemoteView?

RemoteView is an optional service requiring a subscription to Atomos Cloud Services for access.

The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
