FAQs:
Can the BenQ TH575i be used during the day with curtains open?
Yes. The TH575i’s 3,800-lumen output is intended for environments with ambient light. The increased light output maintains image visibility, colour saturation, and contrast more effectively than lower-brightness projectors during daytime viewing. Sports broadcasts and television content remain particularly clear under these conditions, although darker viewing environments still provide the strongest overall contrast performance.
Is the TH575i suitable for gaming consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox?
Yes. The projector supports a 16.7ms input lag at 1080p/60Hz, reducing the delay between controller input and on-screen movement. This lower latency produces a more responsive feel during gameplay, particularly in faster-paced titles where timing and reaction speed are important. Game Mode also increases visibility within darker image areas, making environmental detail easier to distinguish during gameplay.
Does the BenQ TH575i include built-in streaming services?
Yes. The included Google TV dongle provides direct access to streaming platforms including Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+. Because the system is officially licensed by Google, application support and navigation are more stable and consistent than those of generic streaming platforms commonly included with some projectors. Streaming content can therefore be accessed directly without requiring a separate media player.
How flexible is the projector placement?
The TH575i is designed to accommodate a range of living room layouts. Auto vertical keystone correction automatically adjusts image geometry when the projector is positioned at an angle relative to the screen surface, preventing distortion. The 1.1x optical zoom also enables users to fine-tune screen size without physically relocating the projector, simplifying installation in rooms with limited placement flexibility.
Does the TH575i support 3D playback?
Yes. The projector supports 3D playback with compatible 3D content and active shutter 3D glasses. During playback, alternating left- and right-eye images create a stereoscopic depth effect that increases the sense of dimensionality on screen. Compatible 3D glasses are required separately.
What screen size is recommended for the TH575i?
The TH575i is designed primarily for large-format viewing, with BenQ positioning the projector for a 120-inch image. At this scale, films, sports, and games occupy a larger portion of the viewer’s field of vision, creating a more immersive viewing experience. The projector’s flexible throw distances and zoom range also support smaller image sizes in more compact rooms with limited installation space.
