The Keyboard Controller is a must for any and all expanded BirdDog PTZ systems. You can control up to 225 PTZ cameras over a single network; utilising the vast array of tactile buttons, knobs, and joysticks to form an efficient custom workflow. This keyboard is further compatible with NDI, NDIHX, Visca, and RS-422/232 protocols, and it can even be powered over these same wired connections as a reliable alternative to DC-in power. User-friendly navigation has been prioritised by BirdDog, giving access to key controls to include exposure, white balance, backlight, gain, shutter, focus, iris, shutter speed, and zoom. For pro-level PTZ operators, you can set up and save 256 memory presets with various parameters and camera moves. In addition, this smart keyboard is compatible with NDI and BirdDog Comms Audio Intercom systems (via Windows) - Those requiring a multi-camera PTZ setup, be sure to check out the links below.

Is this available within a larger PTZ system set?

The PTZ Keyboard comes free when you purchase either of the following P200 sets. These are great for constructing a fast and efficient PTZ system without having to purchase individual cameras:

Is there quick-access to gain control?

This PTZ keyboard does not include a specific gain control function. However, it would be possible to set one of the six assignable function buttons as a gain controller.

Does this have the ability to power BirdDog cameras over PoE directly?

The PTZ Keyboard requires a separate switch, but it can be powered via PoE from the switch that you are using to power your individual camera systems.

Can you control multiple branded camera systems with different protocols over this one device?

The PTZ Keyboard from BirdDog is compatible with NDI, NDI|HX, Visca over IP, RS-422, and RS-232 protocols. It can even be powered over these same wired connections as a reliable alternative to DC-in power.

Buy now pay later

The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
