It eliminates the need for a mouse, allowing for the use of two hands at the same time. While the right-hand controls the position of a clip, the other can set the in and out points. It works effortlessly with DaVinci Resolve 16; offering the most efficient post-production workflow. This improved DaVinci keyboard has been upgraded to the feedback provided by professional editors. It employs a qwerty key layout that still operates familiarly, along with introducing new features such as the viewer button.

Integrated Search Dial Control

The integrated solid metal search dial with rubber coating feels comfortable to the touch - which comes in handy when working for a prolonged amount of time. The integrated electronic clutch creates and stops when used for shuttle and position; completed entirely under the control of the software. The search dial is smooth and is capable of utilising the jog mode, allowing a natural timeline scroll. The free movement created by the jog control facilitates precise positioning of the playback point. The shuttle, on the other hand, utilises the clutch that allows for forward and reverse rotation; resulting in up and down movement along the timeline. The scroll option is great for fast navigation along a long timeline. The dial also has multiple roller bearings.

Brand New Intelligent Keyboard Edit Modes

Convenient editing functions are positioned just above the in and out keys. This facilitates a smooth and intuitive hand gesture when you wish to activate the edit needed. The editing functions have been optimised to utilise the speed of a keyboard to the fullest. Thank to this, majority of edits can be executed directly on the source clip; there is no need to place edit points on the timeline. The time taken to switch between source and timeline has been efficiently eliminated. Additionally, the edit points are capable of automatically locating the closest timeline edit and matching the timecode. Editing functions include: Smart Insert, Appended To End, Ripple Overwrite, Close Up, Place On Top, and Source Overwrite.

Search Dial Live Trimming

Fast trimming of edit points is supported by the built-in search dial. This dial can be controlled by the roll keys located just under the in and out keys. They allow for an extremely precise adjusted edit trimming. Simply select the trim mode with your left hand and adjust the trim with your right hand. To activate one of the trim modes, press and hold one of the roll buttons while rotating the search dial. Furthermore, located on the numeric keypad is the trim editor button; allowing for a direct switch to trim mode. This facilitates scrolling up and down the edit points in a timeline for faster locating and adjusting of multiple edits. The roll buttons include modes such as Roll In, Roll Out, Roll Transition, Roll Source, Roll Destination, and Roll Duration.
