The Canon EOS 7D is a digital SLR built on the needs of photographers - in fact, in the design process Canon consulted over 5,000 photographers to ask them what they needed most from their camera. Featuring 18 megapixels and a 19-point cross-type AF sensor, the 7D combines great accuracy with even greater flexibility. AF settings can be customised, enabling both photographer and camera to quickly adapt to the scene. A new metering system, the Focus Colour Luminance (iFCL) intelligently measures focus, colour and luminance across 63 zones. There is a dual layer sensor which gathers information from each distinct zone to produce an accurate, consistent exposure. In addition the 7D offers an Integrated Speedlite Transmitter, allowing photographers to control external speedlites with no additional accessories and Full HD 1080 movie shooting.

Lens compatibility: There is no lens included with the body only version. The Canon EOS 7D features a cropped APS-C sensor and is compatible with both Canon’s EF-S and EF lenses. The Canon EOS 7D will also take Sigma’s DC/DG and Tamron’s Di/Di II lenses.
18 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor
The EOS 7D offers superb resolution thanks to its 18MP CMOS sensor. Offering the photographer the choice of flexibility and creativity. APS-C is a type of digital camera sensor with an integral x1.6 magnification factor. This means that for all lenses (Canon, Sigma & Tamron) you have to x the focal length of your lens by the crop factor, which is 1.6. For example - Canon 50mm x 1.6 = 80mm. For a camera with a cropped sensor the field of view you actually get is 80mm.
Up to 8 frames per second
Shoot 18MP 14-bit images at up to 8 fps as standard, in a burst of up to 126 large JPEGs; photographers can capture both detail and action.
For handheld shooting in low light, the EOS 7D offers ISO speeds of up to 6400. Expandable to ISO 12800, for low light scenes where using flash is undesirable.
The EOS 7D viewfinder with 1.0x magnification provides the most complete and natural view of your subject. The Intelligent viewfinder offers shooting information never before seen in an EOS, including the Dual Axis Electronic Level to ensure perfect horizons.
19-point cross-type AF system
A newly designed AF sensor with Zone and Spot AF modes gives the photographer new ways to select AF points. All points are cross type with the centre point offering both f/2.8 and f/5.6 sensors.
iFCL metering system
A new 63-zone dual layer metering sensor analyses Focus, Colour and Luminance information, providing accurate and consistent metering.
Canon’s Dual “DIGIC 4” provides the EOS 7D with the power to deliver outstanding colour reproduction from its high resolution CMOS sensor. DIGIC 4 also delivers 14 bit processing, excellent noise reduction, long battery life, Face Detection AF and Full HD movie recording.
Full HD movie recording
Complementing outstanding still imaging capabilities with Full HD 1080 video recording including selectable frame rates and full manual control.
Integrated Speedlite Transmitter
The EOS 7D includes the ability to control multiple Speedlites without an ST-E2 or 580EX II, and includes a built-in 15mm wide angle flash. Expand your flash photography.
3.0” Clear View II LCD
The 3.0” Clear View II LCD features 920,000 dot resolution, a wide viewing angle and new solid structure for improved image viewing in bright conditions. Live View displays real-time images on the LCD, offering three auto focus modes.
Magnesium alloy body with environmental protection
The magnesium alloy body offers weather sealing equivalent to the acclaimed EOS-1N, EOS Integrated Cleaning System and 150,000 release shutter durability. The EOS 7D has been designed from the ground up to be used by the most demanding photographers.
Canon EOS 7D - Capture what you see
The Canon EOS 7D digital SLR features an Intelligent Viewfinder offering 100% frame coverage. For the first time, the EOS system offers 1.0x magnification, meaning photographers see a large, bright image. The transmissive LCD is incorporated within the viewfinder and allows photographers to decide which overlay feature - e.g. AF points, the spot metering circle and composition grid - is most useful to help frame the shot. The Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR is also the first in the EOS range to introduce a Dual-Axis Electronic Level (in both the viewfinder and on the LCD) that indicated both pitch and roll angles. This feature is especially useful when shooting landscapes to ensure a level horizon, or when used in conjunction with a Canon Tilt & Shift lens.
The Canon EOS 7D digital SLR has a 3" Clear View II LCD screen with a solid structure screen that has been designed to combat glare by removing the air-gap between the LCD's protective cover and the liquid crystal. Featuring a viewing angle of 160 degrees, the 3" LCD screen is effective even in bright light. An ambient light sensor on the side of the screen, like on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, can set brightness automatically depending on the environment.
Canon EOS 7D - Be creative
An Integrated Speedlite Transmitter means photographers can control external Speedlites with no additional accessories, making the Canon EOS 7D perfect for those looking to experiment with lighting. The built-in flash has been extensively upgraded and includes both wider flash coverage for focal lengths as wide as 15mm, and manual control.
Canon EOS 7D - Customise your camera
In keeping with Canon's endeavour to make the Canon EOS 7D the perfect tool for photographers, all the features and functions are customisable to the individual photographers needs. Frequently used functions and settings can be assigned to convenient controls, meaning valuable time can be saved when shooting critical moments.

Can I repay early? If so how?
No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.
What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?
Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.
What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?
Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan. You will also receive reminder letters and text at the end of the deferral period to remind you when your first payment is due.
