EdgeHD Optical System
The Celestron Deluxe 800 Telescope utilises the power of its proprietary EdgeHD optical system to deliver clean, crisp images while observing planetary bodies, stars, celestial objects, or the Moon. This remarkable optical system further reduces coma and field curvature, producing images free of visual defects for Astro imaging. But the telescope does not stop there. Complementing its clear visuals is the telescope’s StarBright XLT coating for enhancing the brightness, allowing you to observe brighter images of celestial subjects. In addition to this, the versatile EdgeHD optical tube is compatible with Fastar configuration, enabling you to attach a third-party lens assembly for added clarity.
Impressive SkyAlign
Featuring SkyAlign technology, this computerised telescope offers easy alignment and positioning for precise tracking of subjects by pointing it at any three bright objects in the sky. With NextStar software, this telescope creates a model of the night sky for determining the positions of each planet, star, and celestial object. Once aligned, it enables accessing a large database of 40,000 celestial objects with all the necessary information. It also features a filter limit option to remove unrequired objects from the images such as trees or mountains, if any.
Dual Fork Arm Mount
The much sought-after telescope features a dual fork alt-azimuth mount, making the observation process simple and intuitive. This mount promises precise tracking for 30 seconds by the combined use of its improved gear and ball bearings, delivering flawless performance while panning or locating objects. By utilising the additional accessory HD Pro Wedge, you can benefit from the All Star Polar Alignment process that helps to polar align the telescope within a few minutes.

FAQs:
What is the StarAlign function? How can you use it?
This telescope features a StarAlign function that helps to align the telescope quickly. Simply use the hand control and manually point the telescope to three bright celestial objects (Moon, stars, etc.). Its built-in software calculates and creates a model of the night sky and automatically aligns the telescope. You can then access the catalogue of 40,000 celestial objects with their positioning to start observing any of them.
Do you need to manually input the date and position details on the telescope?
The telescope features a built-in GPS receiver that automatically downloads crucial information like date, time, longitude, and latitude to the telescope via orbiting satellites.
How can this Celestron benefit from the Fastar configuration?
The Celestron telescope has a removable secondary mirror that can be replaced with a Fastar lens assembly. In this imaging system, the telescope provides a 25 times faster aperture than its default f10 and yields a five times wider view of angle, enhancing the optical quality for clear observation.
Can I use this telescope to observe solar flares?
Please do not look directly at the Sun using this telescope. Equip a proper solar filter and then observe the solar flares. Also, do not project the Sun’s beams via the telescope on a surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optical system.
Does this telescope feature Periodic Error Correction? What does it do?
The telescope features permanently programmable Periodic Error Correction that help to reduce the periodic errors of the worm gear and the mount retains the recording.
