Unreal Footage Capture
By combining relentless speed with a 150° super-wide FOV, you are given access to views that are usually reserved for the most elegant of winged creatures. The f/2.8 aperture lens has an impressive focal range of 0.6 to 8, with the DJI FPV recording 4K/60fps video at up to Mbps. Alongside this, you have access to 4x slow motion, RockSteady stabilisation, and distortion correction.
RockSteady Stabilisation ensures that no matter how dynamic your in-flight manoeuvres get, the RockSteady EIS technology will provide an ultra-smooth image. To improve the range of editing options available, H.264 and H.265 video coding formats are supported.
Suited To TopGuns And First-Time Flyers
The DJI FPV isn't just for veteran FPV pilots, with three distinct flying modes providing unique in-flight options to suit your needs. Firstly, S Mode is a hybrid flight mode that combines the freedom of manual flight with the simplified controls of former DJI drones, whilst N Mode offers immersive flight with traditional controls and added safety features such as obstacle sensing. Activate M Mode and engage in the full, customisable FPV flight experience.
DJI FPV Goggles V2
The DJI FPV Goggles V2 features a range of upgrades from the V1, including superior image quality, a more efficient screen refresh rate, and improved low-latency mode. The screen refresh rate now stands at 144Hz compared to the V1's 122Hz, whilst Live View Mode provides 810p/120fps in Low-Latency Mode and 810p/60fps in High-Quality Mode. As well as this, the DJI FVP Goggles V2 offer 2.4GHz frequency support, where the lower frequency improves signal penetration and range. A 150° FOV is presented when shooting at 50 or 100 fps, whilst a slightly reduced 142° is available in other frame rates.
The DJI FPV Goggles are also incredibly comfortable for extended flights, replicating the V1's shape and dimensions whilst adding only a little bit of weight. This is great for people who already have accessories for the V1 (goggle straps, antennas, analogue adapters and faceplate foam), as these are now fully compatible with the updated version. Another welcomed addition to the DJI FPV Goggles V2 is an 1800 mAh, 9V external battery. Charging and powering is simple via a USB-C interface and if you require more power, you can still use the V2 Goggles with a LiPo battery (sold separately).
Safety As The Top Priority
To ensure that every flight is a success and the danger risk remains low, the DJI FPV has a range of safety features implemented into its design. This includes an auxiliary bottom light, Smart Return to Home (RTH), Low Battery RTH, and forward and downward obstacle sensing. It also provides an additional built-in Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B). This is a system that works by receiving flight location information of manned aircrafts in your area, and will then send warnings to your Goggles V2. By doing so, you are given a good amount of time to safely land your DJI FPV.
When flying the DJI FPV in a new country or region for the first time, make sure you check and follow local radio frequency laws and regulations. Connect to the DJI Fly app using the goggles and the software will automatically tune the system settings to adhere to local laws and regulations. Make sure you know the rules and consult the Drone Code before you fly, and if you want to fly commercially, you need to take the PfCO CAA exam (Permission for Commercial Operations).
The Multi-Functional DJI Fly App
The DJI Fly App is a multi-functional platform that can live-view direct from your V2 Goggles on a mobile device when connected via a cable. You can also playback footage, edit, and share your shots on social media with just a few taps. Another great feature of the app is the ability to discover popular aerial photography spots near you with the Fly Spots feature - Ideal for those who are new to drone flying.
