What's New?

The Osmo Pocket 4P introduces the first dual-camera design in the Osmo Pocket series, pairing a new 1-inch wide-angle camera with a 60mm equivalent medium telephoto camera in the same pocket-sized body. Rather than relying on digital crop or changing shooting position, creators can now switch instantly between two distinct perspectives, with the new medium telephoto camera also providing 3x optical zoom for tighter framing and more natural portraits.

The new dual-camera system is supported by a wider range of imaging improvements, including up to 17 stops of dynamic range from the new wide-angle camera, D-Log 2 recording and ActiveTrack 8.0. Together, these changes build on the strengths of previous Osmo Pocket models while giving creators greater creative control without compromising the portability that defines the series.

Dual-camera imaging system

The Osmo Pocket 4P pairs a 1-inch CMOS wide-angle camera with a 20mm equivalent f2.0 lens and a 1/1.28-inch CMOS medium telephoto camera with a 60mm equivalent f1.8 lens, giving you two native focal lengths within a single pocket-sized camera. The wide-angle camera captures broader scenes and focuses from 0.09m, while the medium telephoto camera focuses from 0.2m to provide tighter framing for portraits, details and more distant subjects. Switching between the two cameras provides a genuine change in perspective rather than relying on digital crop. As a dual-camera system, the Osmo Pocket 4P gives you greater control over composition without changing lenses or shooting position.

The wide-angle camera also introduces DJI's LOFIC imaging architecture, delivering up to 17 stops of dynamic range when recording in D-Log 2. This preserves more detail in both bright and dark areas of the same frame, helping highlights retain more information while darker areas remain visible before fading into black. The camera also supports still image capture at approximately 37MP in JPEG, DNG and JPEG+DNG formats. Digital zoom extends framing up to 12x for video and up to 9x for still photography in supported shooting modes.

Video formats and audio capture

The Osmo Pocket 4P supports 4K recording at up to 60fps across both cameras, with the wide-angle camera supporting 4K slow-motion at up to 240fps and the medium telephoto camera supporting up to 200fps. Standard video recording includes 4K, 3K vertical and 1080p at up to 60fps, making it easy to shoot in both horizontal and vertical formats without having to reframe later. Alongside standard recording, the camera includes Low-Light Video, Hyperlapse, Timelapse, Motionlapse and Slow Shutter Video modes for different styles of capture. D-Log 2 with 10-bit colour preserves a wider range of tonal information for colour grading, while HEVC recording at bitrates up to 180Mbps balances image quality with efficient file sizes.

For audio capture, the Osmo Pocket 4P features a three-microphone array that records onboard audio at 48kHz, 16-bit, allowing you to record ambient sound and speech directly without additional equipment. It also supports compatible wireless microphone accessories, expanding the camera's audio capabilities when external microphone support is required.

Stabilisation, tracking and autofocus

The 3-axis gimbal stabilises pitch, roll, and yaw, physically compensating for motion as you shoot. This feature helps stabilise footage without cropping into the frame, maintaining the intended field of view during handheld recording. ActiveTrack 8.0 works with the gimbal to keep your subject in the frame across both the wide-angle and medium-telephoto cameras, making it easy to switch perspectives without interrupting tracking. Dynamic Framing automatically adjusts the composition as people move through the scene, while Multi-Person Tracking extends the same behaviour to groups.

Intelligent Autofocus keeps your subject sharp by adjusting focus based on its position within the frame. Subject recognition works across both cameras, allowing focus and tracking behaviour to remain consistent as focal lengths change. By linking autofocus behaviour to ActiveTrack 8.0, the system provides more predictable results when subjects move throughout the frame or change distance during recording.

Display and controls

As a pocket-sized camera designed for one-handed use, the Osmo Pocket 4P has been optimised for quick, direct adjustments. A 2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 556 × 314 and brightness of up to 1000 nits provides clear visibility outdoors, making it easy to compose shots, review footage and adjust camera settings. The compact body remains easy to carry, keeping the camera ready for everyday shooting without adding significant weight or bulk.

The integrated joystick also provides direct control over framing and gimbal movement, reducing reliance on touchscreen controls while recording. Dedicated buttons give quick access to commonly used camera functions, making it easier to change settings without interrupting shooting. Together, these controls provide a more direct operating experience, helping you adjust framing and camera settings more quickly when recording handheld.

Connectivity and output

For content creators working across platforms, built-in connectivity plays a central role in capturing, transferring and sharing footage. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 support wireless control, file transfer and connection to compatible mobile devices, allowing you to preview footage, transfer files or control the camera remotely without a wired connection. USB 3.1 supports wired transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s, reducing the time required to move footage into post-production. Webcam mode, Wi-Fi livestreaming and DisplayPort output also extend the camera's output options for live streaming, online meetings and external video output.

Built-in timecode helps keep clips aligned across multiple compatible cameras, making it easier to synchronise footage during editing. Together, these features make the Osmo Pocket 4P easier to integrate into structured production workflows while maintaining the compact, ready-to-shoot form factor that defines the Osmo Pocket series.

Vlog Combo accessories

In addition to the standard camera and accessories, the Vlog Combo includes a set of practical tools to form a complete kit for everyday recording. The included Osmo FrameTap lets you control the camera remotely while viewing a live image on its integrated touchscreen. Audio also gets an upgrade with the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter, providing wireless voice recording without requiring a separate recorder.

For close-range work, the magnetic fill light adds adjustable brightness and colour temperature, helping to balance exposure without increasing ISO. When a static shot is needed, the Osmo Mini Tripod allows the camera to be placed on a work surface, while the 1/4″-threaded handle enables mounting on standard supports. Dedicated carrying bags keep everything organised, so the full setup can be carried and used as a complete recording kit.
