An improved, next-generation design ensures that the DJI RS 4 Pro is the perfect companion for telling your visual stories. A newly designed horizontal plate facilitates second-generation native vertical shooting for more efficient operation. The plate can be released and secured vertically to switch to vertical shooting without additional accessories. The second-generation automated axis locks enable smooth transitions between work and sleep modes for an improved workflow and have smaller gaps for reduced gimbal shake and better results when locked.

Dual-rolling bearings on the roll axis ensure more seamless adjustments, and a Teflon coating for all three axes provides a smoother balancing experience. Switching lenses is also painless thanks to a fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis. This knob can move the camera forwards or backward to balance your camera precisely, while an adjustable placement guide on the upper quick-release plate guarantees secure camera mounting. The OLED touchscreen now has an auto-lock feature that displays the gimbal and joystick modes at low brightness, which is handy while in use. It both prevents accidental interference and conserves battery power.

Weighing just over 1.8kg (including the gimbal, the grip, the extended grip/tripod, and quick-release plates), the DJI RS 4 Pro has an impressive maximum payload of 4.5kg. The impressive payload and increased power and torque allow for secure support of mainstream mirrorless camera and lens combinations while retaining exceptional manoeuvrability. The RS 4 Pro features a 20% increase in motor torque across three axes when compared to the RS 3 Pro for accurate, responsive results, even when heavy equipment is attached. The increased power ensures enhanced functionality through aspects such as Car Mount mode, which optimises the gimbal stabilisation algorithm using vehicle vibrations and wind resistance data to capture smooth footage in challenging conditions.

For increased versatility and improved performance, DJI has incorporated the 4th-Generation RS Stabilisation Algorithm in the DJI RS 4 Pro. It balances robust stabilisation and the tactile feel of camera movement for outstanding stability and a memorable user experience. The RS 4 Pro even offers improved support when shooting vertically, steadying even the most active shots with ease.

Straightforward Operation for Professional Results

The DJI RS 4 Pro offers various control options to suit your needs and ensure professional cinematic results. Dual-mode Bluetooth technology allows the DJI RS 4 Pro to control your camera’s shutter and lens zoom remotely. Zoom control mode lets you use the joystick to control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom for a native zoom experience. It also offers seamless camera pairing, ensuring that you need only manually pair your camera once, then it will be paired automatically.

To make capturing footage on any set a seamless experience, the RS 4 Pro allows you to customise the trigger function to FPV mode. In this mode, you can press and hold the trigger to make the gimbal’s three axes follow the direction of the grip’s movement, which is ideal for shooting rotational footage or POV. You can also tailor the gimbal mode to your shooting scenario and switch between PF, PTF, and FPV modes using the DJI RS 4 Pro’s Gimbal Mode Switch. FPV mode is also customisable to 3D Roll 360 or Custom with the touchscreen. Other intelligent features include motionlapse, track, and panorama, which assist you in applying creative effects to your scene. The DJI RS 4 Pro also introduces an RSA communication port for compatibility with accessories such as the DJI RS Tethered Control Handle and third-party accessories like control handles and remote-control ring handles.

Expansive Ecosystem of Accessories

Alongside a carrying case for safe storage, a briefcase handle for increased shooting support, and other helpful accessories, the DJI RS 4 Combo includes DJI’s Focus Pro Motor. This motor lets you control the focus of your camera’s lens via a dial or adjust the lens zoom via the joystick. It enables efficient lens control, as you can use your gimbal rather than your camera to adjust. The motor speed on the Focus Pro Motor is 30% higher than the DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) for more effective lens control. It also includes the Ronin Image Transmitter, which delivers high-definition live feeds, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile, and many other features for a more integrated shooting, monitoring, and control experience on set.

Other optional accessories include the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR, which enables accurate, distant, and intelligent LiDAR autofocus. Focus Pro LiDAR and AI algorithms ensure that next-gen ActiveTrack Pro can track your subjects even if they are obscured. The gimbal is also compatible with the Focus Pro Hand Unit, a precise, magnetic-damping manual control unit, as well as the DJI Master Wheels, DJI Ronin 4D Hand Grips, and DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor, and more.
