How to Use the Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 Film Camera

Easy, Simple Point and Shoot

The streamlined body of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 Film Camera includes a 60mm f/12.7 fixed lens that provides zone focusing options, complete with landscape, normal, and macro manual modes for capturing subjects at a proximity of just 30cm. The optical viewfinder has a target spot for precise subject alignment and adjustment guides for close-range shooting. Additionally, the design incorporates a built-in flash with automatic exposure adjustment capabilities, so you never have to worry about shooting in low light.

Apply Filters and Adjust Brightness with Dials

The Instax Mini 99 Film Camera now utilises two newly incorporated dials to manually select filters, brightness, and vignettes on your shots. The Colour Effect Control Dial allows you to choose between 6 pre-set filters, which use the four in-built Full Colour LEDs. Applying one of the effects exposes light to the film through those LEDs, producing six beautiful and original images. The colour choices include Faded Green, Warm Tone, Light Blue, Soft Magenta, Sepia, and Light Leak.

The Brightness Control Dial also compliments the tone, warmth, nostalgia, and emotion created by the Colour Effect Dial. The brightness presets allow more or less light to be transferred to the final image, making the shot brighter, more exposed, or duller and grittier. Alongside these dials, the vignette switch on the front of the lens provides an artistic flair by darkening the photo's edges.
