With more and more of us working from home, Fujifilm has released new firmware that allows your camera to function as a webcam. Simply plug use a USB connection from camera to computer and you’re good to go. Using your camera will offer a dramatically improved image quality over a normal webcam. Powerful 24.4 Megapixel Sensor
The X-A7 has been fitted with a newly optimised 24.4 megapixel sensor. This sensor uses copper wiring inside which reduces digital noise which can really help at higher ISO levels. It also features a huge 8.5 times more phase detect pixel across the entire frame than the previous X-A5 sensor. Because of this, this means there is a significant improvement to eye/face detection, subject tracking and even focusing in low-light conditions.
Let’s talk about video performance
There is a growing demand for quality video footage and Fujifilm have catered for this in the X-A7. The sensor inside can produce 4K footage using data that is equivalent to 6K. This results in smooth, high quality 4K video up to 30fps with no crop. The camera can also record videos in in full HD, HD up to 60p in 16:9 aspect ratio or even 1:1 which is perfect for posting videos on Instagram for example.
Easy and quick connectivity
Using the Fujifilm Camera Remote (which is free on smart devices) and the improvements to connectivity on the X-A7, wireless image and video transfer has never been easier. You can also use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to move your data quickly so you can get it posted as soon as you can. But you can also use a wired connection with your phone or tablet if there are some larger files and this is a lot faster than wireless – A whole 8 times faster! So if you have a lot of data to move, you can use the included USB cable.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
