Patented Anamorphic Design

Laowa’s new Proteus series lens takes full advantage of its patented anamorphic design to deliver outstanding visuals. The Laowa Proteus is made up of anamorphic and spherical blocks, so the lens delivers the sharpness of modern images but also the vintage characteristics of anamorphic design such as elliptical bokeh and signature flares. Its optical design - similar to that of Vantage Hawks, Cooke Anamorphic and Atlas Orion lenses - also has a front variable spherical glass to achieve focus.

The Laowa Proteus lenses have been constructed to deliver cinematic visuals that professionals in the film industry desire.
