The Leica 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M ASPH Lens is a step above its predecessor. This Leica M lens boasts an improved minimum focusing distance of just 0.45m and provides visibly rounder bokeh thanks to the 11-bladed aperture diaphragm. Keeping in line with other M lenses, it has an integrated swivel lens hood, a high-end optical design and a compact but durable build. This lens comes in silver or black.

The new generation 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M Asph Lens from Leica has been re-engineered to take an already high-performing option and give it even more versatility. The most notable upgrade is the improved 0.45m minimum focusing distance made possible by the patent-pending double cam unit. An improved 11-blade aperture diaphragm produces visibly rounder bokeh, which yields beautiful results.
Complete Flexibility
Designed with complete flexibility in mind, this lens caters to a wide range of applications. Thanks to its compact and lightweight build, this lens can be used for everything from street photography to studio portraiture, weddings and more. Although small in size, this lens boasts an advanced lens structure to offer incredible image quality, with nine floating glass elements in five groups. This includes a dedicated aspherical element for controlling spherical aberrations and distortion. And, with an incredibly wide, bright and fast f1.4 maximum aperture, this lens can maintain consistent performance in low-light environments and provides much greater control over depth of field.
