For the first time within the Apo-Summicron 90mm f/2 ASPH, apochromatic colour correction and an aspherical lens surface have been combined to form a high-end fast short telephoto lens. Even at full aperture, you are guaranteed minimal camera shake, superior colour clarity and quality resolution. Further to this, a single aspherical element and a pair of high refractive index elements significantly reduce distortion and spherical aberrations. This 90mm f2 lens also conforms to Leica's acclaimed manual focusing design with a minimum focal distance of 1m, and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:9.

Will using the 90mm f2 lens with the M10-R obstruct the viewfinder?

The built-in viewfinder of the M10R will be slightly obstructed when using this 90mm f2 lens. To counteract this, you can either use the LCD screen to frame your shot or invest in Leica's Visoflex Electronic Viewfinder.

Does this utilise the same internal focus scheme as the previous Leica Summicron-R 90mm APO SLR lens?

As with all M-mount lenses, the barrel extends very slightly when focusing, however, the internal focusing system is almost flawless in its application.
