The Mathorn Cable Plate MCP-1 Titanium Arca-Swiss is a lightweight, versatile quick-release plate that allows you to secure a USB or HDMI cable connected to the camera. It protects the cable connector and camera from excessive tension and accidental breakage, which are common causes of their damage.

How to Use the Mathorn cable plate MCP-1

Design, ergonomics and compatibility

The plate is 80 millimeters long and is manufactured to the Arca-Swiss standard, so it can be used with all standard Arca-Swiss heads on the market. The plate is attached to the camera with a 1/4″20 photo thread screw and the lower part of the camera is protected by rubber buffers, which also prevent the plate from rotating. The screw is equipped with a coin slot and a retractable handle and can be adjusted to many positions so you can adapt it to different camera models.

For tethering and streaming

The cable channels in the plate are designed to secure cables with a diameter of 4 to 6.5 mm without the risk of them being over-compressed and breaking. The plate is therefore compatible with most USB and HDMI cables used for tethering, photography and video streaming.
