Designed for the Human Voice

The fixed cardioid polar pattern of the microphone ensures excellent rejection of rearward sound to accommodate only the speaker’s voice. The specially designed large-diaphragm condenser capsule has a linear frequency response, with a gentle presence boost around 4 kHz and a slight treble lift above 10 kHz. It ensures enhanced speech intelligibility, an outstanding transient response for capturing detailed human voice at a close range. The integrated internal switch can compensate for the proximity effect and reduce the sensitivity by 14 dB.

Easy Maintenance

The microphone has a twist-off head grille on top which can be easily removed for quick cleaning. There is also an integrated screen-mesh pop filter around the capsule in a tensioned mount that can be easily removed for cleaning. This pop screen protects the capsule from air blasts and plosives, as well as the build up of unwanted particles on the diaphragm.

The integrated pop screen and the mounted head grille can be easily removed from the microphone for quick cleaning. Ethanol or isopropanol can be used to clean the microphone housing and protect it from getting soiled by human exhalations. A disposable soft cloth, a soft brush or a paper tissue should be used when cleaning. A soft brush can be lightly used to clean off the dust from the amplifier or inner assemblies, without any liquid or solvents.
