This Neumann BCM 705 is a dynamic microphone with a hypercardioid polar pattern for multi-level isolation. This microphone has a moving coil capsule which is a lot more sturdy than other condenser microphones. It produces a distinctive appeal and has been associated with “the sound of FM”, especially in the United States. It delivers a reduced self-noise and eliminates any extraneous noise.

The dynamic capsule has a twist-off head grille and a pop screen that can be removed easily for cleaning purposes. Its characteristic shape is ideal for use with industry-standard microphone boom arms. The elastic mount and the internal capsule suspension doubly protect the microphone against rumble. The pop screen, or the internal foam screen, prevents any accumulation of dirt, moisture and protects the capsule from air blasts or plosives.

How can the microphone be set up?
The microphone is extremely easy to set up and is compatible with industry-standard microphone boom arms. It is recommended to suspend the microphone from a studio arm and an optional thread adapter can be used to fit the microphone to different connectors. An optional SG 5 swivel joint can also be used to angle the microphone by 90 degrees.
What is the hypercardioid pattern used for?
The hypercardioid polar pattern of the microphone offers a narrower pickup angle at the front than cardioid microphones. It rejects more noise from the sides and back for better isolation of the voice. Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
