Lateral Consistency

This Neumann subwoofer features the latest amplifier technology and acoustical components to ensure an accurate and transparent sound reproduction. Many other components such as a solid cabinet housing, robust drivers, and the ports maintain a distortion-free, low-frequency, and articulate sound reproduction. Even at high replay levels, the sound quality does not dip. The Plane Wave Bass Array (PWBA) techniques use the sum output and acoustically improve lateral consistency of the subwoofer. The bass can extend down to 18 Hz in the listening area.

Robust Construction

The subwoofer has a rigid, rock-solid cabinet housing with a painted finish and high-density rubber isolation feet. There are large bass ports on the front to extend the low-frequency response and reduce the compression. The cabinet can be positioned near a wall or flush-mounted on a wall without a loss in performance quality.

HD Bass Management

Featuring a 7.1 High Definition Bass Management, the KH 810 G delivers a very deep bass response. This bypassable bass manager makes the subwoofer compatible with all standard consumer formats, from mono to the latest 7.1 HD systems. It includes 8 channels of analogue audio and a four-mode LFE-channel for flexible compatibility across all formats. The integrated 4th order active crossover and the acoustical controls ensure seamless system integration. An additional remote hardware control enables centralised system control.

It is designed to be used with Neumann’s extensive range of monitors and is very well complemented by monitors. It can be used individually or daisy-chained to make a larger system. What is the LED light used for?

The LED light has two lights: red and green to display operation status. The “red” light indicates normal operation and is also used to display clip/limit/errors/protection/shut down mute/boot mute. The “green” light indicates that the bass management is on.

What is it made from?

The wooden cabinet of the subwoofer has an aluminium electronic panel. The cabinet has a painted surface finish and a metallic anthracite finish on the back. This lightweight subwoofer weighs up to 26 kg.

How can the subwoofer be positioned?

While positioning the subwoofer near a wall, ensure that the distance between the wall behind and the subwoofer’s front is less than 0.8 metres. While setting up several subwoofers, use 2-4 for smaller rooms and 3-4 subwoofers for larger rooms. These should be set up along the front wall within half a wavelength of each other.

Can it be connected to other devices?

The balanced XLR cables can be used to connect the KH 810 to an audio source.

How can the subwoofer be cleaned?

Always disconnect the subwoofer from the mains power supply before cleaning and use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Do not use any cleaning liquids as it can cause short-circuit and damage the KH 810.
