The Neumann KH 870 G is a professional-grade 7.1 analogue bass-managed subwoofer. It can be used for mixing, mastering and tracking in music, broadcast and post-production applications. The 4-mode LFE channel and 4th order active crossover guarantee a seamless system integration and flexible acoustic controls. There is a built-in volume control and a hardware remote control, which allows centralised system control. The electronics can be remotely located to reduce cabling and it can be used in various system configurations.

It is compatible with an extensive range of monitors, especially the Neumann range of monitors. The KH 870 can be used on its own or can be daisy-chained to make a larger system, which is capable of handling higher SPLs. It has front-mounted ports to enable wall or flush mounting of the subwoofer without any interruption on its working. It can be used to mix freely in multichannel systems with other loudspeakers.

What is it made from?

It has a rigid and robust wooden cabinet and an aluminium electronics panel. It has a painted surface finish and metallic anthracite colour on the front. The high-density rubber isolation feet and self-damping properties help the KH-870 to minimise cabinet resonance. There are front bass ports to enable flush mounting on the wall without any loss in performance quality.

Which all accessories are compatible with the subwoofer?

How can it be connected to other devices?

What are the four routing modes?

With the LFE gain of 0 and +10 dB, the KH-870 has four routing modes – LFE to the subwoofer and left/right, LFE to subwoofer only up to 80 Hz, LFE to subwoofer only up to 120 Hz, and LFE to subwoofer with no filtering. The last routing mode is used for daisy-chaining subwoofers.
