The Neumann KK 145 Capsule Head can be used with both Neumann KM A and KM D output stages. It features a cardioid polar pattern that picks up sounds from the front and sides of the microphone. It has an acoustic roll-off in the free field and is optimised for a flat frequency response for the proximity effect. The cardioid pattern is ideal where ambience and feedback control are required.

FAQs:
What is the pickup pattern?
The KK 145 capsule head has a cardioid polar pattern with an acoustic bass roll-off in the free field. The pickup pattern is effective in minimising off-axis feedback and is ideal when ambiance control is required.
Does it reduce the proximity effect?
Being a pressure gradient transducer, it naturally features the proximity effect. The capsule head is optimised for a flat frequency response at a recording distance of around 15cm. The pickup pattern also reduces any low-frequency interference such as wind and structure-borne noises.
How much does it weigh?
This high-quality capsule head weighs only around 15 grams and can be used with either the Neumann KM A or KM D output stages.
