Convert your images shot on film into high-quality digital files with ease with Nikon’s ES-2 Film Digitising Kit. Designed for full-frame FX DSLRs, simply connect the ES-2 adapter to a NIKKOR lens and capture your images in Photo Live View. The camera automatically converts the negatives into full-colour images in JPEG format that are suitable for enlarging up to A1 size.
Key Features: Nikon ES-2 Film Digitising Kit
- Film compatibility: 35mm negative and slide film
- Lens compatibility: NIKKOR lenses (ideally micro-NIKKOR)
- Camera compatibility: Nikon cameras with an in-camera digitising menu (please check individual cameras for more information)
NOTE: If using a DX-format (crop) DSLR on a full-frame lens, you may require an extension tube in front of the lens (between lens and ES-1). This is because a DX sensor is smaller than a 35mm film frame and it may produce too much magnification.
Taking advantage of the high-pixel count of the D850's 45.7 MP, the Film Digitizing Adapter lets you convert both 35mm slides and negatives to digital files. Using a lens such as the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED attached to the D850, the camera's digitising function automatically reverses the colours and stores them as JPEG images. This once time-consuming process involving a film scanner can be done much more quickly. For negative strips, use the FH-4 Strip Film Holder with the ES-2 and for slides, use the FH-5 Slide Mount Holder with the ES-2.
The set includes: ES-2 Negative Digitiser, FH-4 Strip Film Holder, FH-5 Slide Mount Holder, and 2 different 62mm adapter rings (62mm adapter ring A and 62mm adapter ring B).
