Redesigned and Refined

The Nikon Z fc is Nikon’s first Z-series cameras to wear a ‘heritage’ design. A design that conjures up notions of classic film photography that paved the way for photography as we know it today. Inspired by the iconic Nikon FM2 SLR film camera from 1982, the Z fc has a classic pentaprism design with Nikon’s 1970-80s logo and is complemented by black and silver elements and the inclusion of a circular eyepiece for its electronic viewfinder (EVF). In addition, the top of the camera is equipped with a seemingly familiar and simple dial design that offers precise control of shutter speed, exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity for quick and efficient settings changes, as well as a small aperture display. The body itself, thanks to its magnesium alloy construction, is compact, lightweight and robust. This camera is the epitome of taking classic visual and operational elements from the past and combining them with modern technology.

Accuracy and Versatility

A true sign of combining modern technology with a classic look is the Nikon Z fc’s photographic capabilities. Packed inside this lightweight and compact body is a wide range of tech that makes this camera easy to use and handle for both existing and first-time mirrorless camera users. A noteworthy addition is the use of fast and accurate Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF when shooting both stills and video - a feature that was first used in the Nikon Z 7II and Nikon Z 6II. The Z fc also has a wide-area AF (L) AF-area mode that limits the focusing area for the clear capture of eyes and faces. Furthermore, you can make use of an effective continuous focus on specific subjects even when in large groups, or the impressive eye tracking of moving animals.

In addition to the Z fc’s AF functions, the camera allows you to continue shooting when the light begins to fade with its wide standard sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200. Adding to its versatility, it features a Z-series first with a vari-angle monitor that allows for effective vertical shooting from low or high angles. Moreover, the monitor can be rotated to the front which will automatically switch the camera to a selfie-portrait mode for professional vlogging and selfies.

Yes! In fact, you can make use of increased connectivity via SnapBridge Ver. 2.8 for transferring your photos and videos to your smart device. Snapbridge Ver. 2.8 features a new user interface that supports two automatic connection modes: A foreground mode that will only connect with your camera only when the app is activated, reducing camera battery consumption. And, a background mode that offers a constant connection, transferring images automatically even when the app is not activated.

Does the Z fc allow for in-camera charging?

USB charging is available with the separately sold EH-7P AC adapter.

What SD cards are supported?

The Z fc supports UHS-I SD memory cards, allowing for RAW12-bit/14-bit, JPEG and simultaneous recording of both RAW and JPEG.

The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan).
