Next-Generation Micro Four Thirds Camera
Whilst the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Digital Camera benefits from an advanced 20 Megapixel Stacked BSI Live MOS Sensor and a 3x faster TruePic X image processor, the scope of this Micro Four Thirds camera extends beyond the size of the sensor.
To deliver their highest ever resolution, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Digital Camera takes advantage of high-resolution M.Zuiko Digital lens performance. Combined with new noise processing technology that offers an expanded maximum sensitivity of ISO 102400 and an improved dynamic range, these improvements deliver a far richer range of tonal expressions.
The OM SYSTEM OM-1 also offers high-performance image stabilisation with up to 8.0 steps of compensation using 5-axis sync IS, and up to 7 steps with the body alone. With the Handheld Assist feature, users can easily capture slow shutter speed effects that were previously achieved using tripods.
Expand The Realms of Expression
Thanks to advances in computational photography, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 incorporates shooting features for photographic expressions that have traditionally required specialist equipment. These shooting modes include, but are not limited to, High-Res Shots, Live ND, Live Composite, Focus Stacking and HDR shooting.
Popular for landscape photos, the High-Res Shot mode has benefitted from a significantly reduced processing time (50MP Handheld High-Res Shot: approx. 5 seconds to merge). The Composite processing technology reduces noise by approximately 2 steps for an impressively high pixel count. You can easily switch between normal shooting and High-Res Shooting with the dedicated button included for improved usability.
Cross Quad Pixel AutoFocus and Tracking
The OM SYSTEM OM-1 includes a quad-division photodiode configuration that provides on-chip Phase Detection in both vertical and horizontal directions. This 1053 point Cross Quad Pixel AutoFocus allows users to focus on various patterns of subjects across all pixels in the entire shooting range. Using the high-speed calculation capabilities of the TruePic X processor and this new AutoFocus algorithm, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 provides high speed, high precision focusing on your subject no matter where it is in the frame.
Adding to the OM SYSTEM OM-1’s high speed, high precision AutoFocus is the AI Detection AF developed using deep learning technology. This model has the ability to recognise formula cars, motorcycles, aeroplanes, helicopters, trains, and birds, as well as animals (dogs and cats).
There have also been exponential improvements to sequential shooting performance, reaching up to 50 fps blackout-free AF/AE tracking at approximately 20.37 Megapixel, and up to 120 fps AF/AE locked ultra-high-speed sequential shooting.
High-Speed, High-Quality Hardware
By including sealing materials on the camera’s lightweight, magnesium alloy body, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Digital Camera achieves an IP53 dustproof and class 6 splashproof protection. This design makes the OM SYSTEM OM-1 the perfect weather-resistant ally for shooting in more punishing environments with an impressive freezeproof performance of up to -10 degrees celsius.
To further improve shooting comfort, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 ensures optimal viewfinder performance. The Electronic Viewfinder is equipped with approximately 5.76 million dot resolution, a viewfinder magnification of up to 1.65x, a display delay of 0.005 seconds7, and 120 fps high-speed display performance. The OM SYSTEM OM-1 is designed to not only feature all the best facets of an optical viewfinder, but also the advantages of a digital viewfinder. Users can view subjects and check exposure even in dark locations.
Creative Video Functions for Creators
As a lightweight Micro Four Thirds camera with industry-leading image stabilisation, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 is ideal for shooting stable handheld video. Creative video functions include 4K 60p for smooth, high-definition videos, and high-speed movie with Full HD videos at a maximum 240p. The camera also supports H.264 (8bit), H.265 (10bit), and Multi-Frame Rate for recording video clips over 30 minutes in length.
In addition to high-definition recording, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 also simplifies post-production processes. This camera has a RAW data output up to 12 bit 4:4:4 to external devices and also supports OM-Log to provide a greater level of artistic expression thanks to colour grading. Users can capture highlights and shadows without overexposing or underexposing shots. The HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) video picture mode has also been added for easier HDR video recording.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
