The pro-capture function provides the exciting ability to capture images before you fully press the shutter button on the camera, meaning you never miss a moment. Similarly, interval shooting lets you shoot for longer with a range of up to 299 images at a time, which is convenient for observing scenarios over longer durations or creating a 4K timelapse movie. The additional option for exposure smoothing also stops vast changes between exposure during bright moments or cloudy skies.

Step Closer with Macro Capabilities

The TG-7 Digital Camera plays host to four easy-to-use macro shot modes. You can start shooting macro just 1cm away from the lens using Microscope mode. Switch between a display magnification of 1x, 2x, and 4x with the touch of a button or achieve a maximum display magnification of 44.4x when combined with the zoom lever in Microscope Control Mode. Focus Stacking is exceptionally useful to achieve macro photography with an entirely front-to-back focused image. Merge from 3 to 10 photos of differing focus points for the perfect shot. Alternatively, use Focus Bracketing to shoot up to 30 frames while adjusting the focal position to stack in post-process.

Scene Modes

The OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 Digital Camera comes loaded with innovative pre-set features. Its pro-capture function goes beyond point-and-shoot - capturing moments before you fully press the shutter button so you never miss a shot. The TG7 also utilises time-lapse and interval shooting, capturing up to 299 images over a specified period. The equalisation feature is applicable to maintain consistent exposure to counteract lighting changes. The Live Composite Mode automatically composites images for creative final results, capturing the brightest elements from multiple photos to produce stunning star trails, car light trails, or firework images.

Furthermore, the Tough TG-7 offers 22 Scene Modes within six themes - people, nightscapes, motion, scenery, indoors, and construction. The new addition of construction modes includes pre-sets and options for Slow Shutter, Panorama, Indoor, and Documents. Additionally, it adheres to the CALS image format, which conforms to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism Digital Photo Management Information Standards.

Underwater Wide Mode is tailored for capturing the often dimly lit underwater scenes, ensuring clarity and detail. Underwater HDR enhances contrast and minimises shadows in underwater photography, while Snapshot mode preserves subjects' natural colouring and lighting in pools and shallow waters.

The camera's versatility extends to different water depths, with white-balance adjustment for shallow, mid, and deep water photography. Additionally, OM SYSTEM enhances red and blue tones to help you achieve the perfect shot. With the PT-059 Underwater Case (sold separately), users can dive even deeper than 15m with additional waterproofing to keep the TG-7 camera fully protected.

Waterproof up to 15m, the sealing and double lock construction delivers waterproof performance in deep water or simply resists rain in inclement weather. Freezeproof to -10°C, the TG-7 maintains high performance in snowy mountains and cold climates. The camera body is shockproof at 2.1m and crushproof up to 100kg, meaning even drops and bangs won’t be harmful. The dual-pane protective glass adapts to temperature changes with anti-fogging capabilities and dustproof sealing.

The TG-7 also has a full field sensor system to track where your adventures took you. Feel like you’re back in the height of the action by monitoring GPS, air pressure, shooting direction, and temperature. The OM image share app provides a location to upload, arrange and categorise your experiences.
