25-600mm Lens with Full-Range f2.8
The DMC-FZ200 features a high-quality Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens with a 24x optical zoom that achieves full range f2.8. It allows users to capture a moving subject, even at a far distance, with a fast shutter speed. Its Nano Surface Coating minimises flaring and ghosting to deliver exceptional optical performance with stunning clarity.
High-Sensitivity MOS Sensor
The new 12-1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor boasts excellent S/N ratio, resulting in super-clear images with less noise – even in low-light conditions. Together with the high-performance LSI Venus Engine image processor, it produces high-quality images.
Fast Autofocus and Burst Shooting
The fast autofocus system allows users to catch even the most fleeting photo opportunities, quickly focusing on moving subjects such as animals or at a sporting event. The DMC-FZ200 boasts a quick start-up time of approximately 0.95 seconds. The 12.1-megapixel MOS sensor lets the DMC-DZ200 shoot full resolution stills at 12fps.
1920x1080p Full HD Video Recording
The DMC-FZ200 can record Full HD 1080p videos in AVCHD Progressive (MPEG-4 / H.264) format. Featuring 60p (NTSC) / 50p (PAL) Full HD recording capability, it can capture subjects in fast motion, as well as fine details. It can also record Full HD 1080p 30p (NTSC) / 25p (PAL) videos in MP4 format. This format is ideal for editing videos on a computer for use online.
1312K-dot Equivalent High-Resolution EVF
The newly-developed 0.2-inch EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) features a 1,312K-dot equivalent, high-resolution, 100% field of view. Thanks to the increased frame rate from 30fps to 60fps, screen freeze is also minimised making it suitable for shooting fast-moving subjects.
POWER O.I.S. with Active Mode
The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) suppresses the low-frequency vibrations caused by shaky hands, which is physically generated when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed. The POWER O.I.S. also works for powerful zoom shots, which are especially susceptible to camera shake. Active mode is effective for video recording.
AFF Mode
The newly-added focus mode AFF (AF Flexible) locks on the focus when the shutter button is half-pressed. However, if the subject moves, the focusing is reset to get the best results.
Creative Control / Creative Retouch
You can add different effects by applying one of the filters both in the recording mode (Creative Control) and the playback mode (Creative Retouch).
Panorama Shooting
The Panorama Shot Mode in the Scene Mode makes it possible to shoot a horizontal/vertical panoramic image with consequent shots taken by overlaying the previous image.
Stereo Microphone
Incorporating a stereo zoom microphone, the DMC-FZ200 delivers high-quality Dolby® Digital Stereo Creator stereo sound, which offers highly-realistic sound for videos. Mechanical noise produced by zooming is suppressed, to improve the clarity.
3.0-inch Free-Angle Monitor
A 3.0-inch 3:2 460K-dot free-angle LCD rotates 180° to the side and tilts 270° up and down. This monitor enables dynamic, artistic framing with high-angle shots and low-angle shots. It’s also convenient when users are shooting with a tripod.
iA (Intelligent Auto) / iA Plus Mode
In the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, the camera does all the work, leaving you free to compose shots and capture moments in both photo and video recording. In addition, the iA Plus mode enables you to adjust the defocusing area, the exposure compensation, and the white balance by just moving the slider.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
