Lens Construction
This premium LUMIX lens features an advanced optical structure that is made up of 12 high-quality glass elements, arranged into 11 lens groups. Within these 12 elements, Panasonic has included 3 aspherical lenses, 3 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses and 1 UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lens. The use of the aspherical lenses results in high descriptive performance and beautiful bokeh, and when combined with the additional chromatic suppression (from both the ED and UED lenses) the end result is exceptional.
Video Performance
As part of Panasonic’s f1.8 large-aperture lens series, the Panasonic LUMIX S 24mm f1.8 Lens excels when capturing video footage. Aside from the obvious optical performance achieved with the advanced lens structure, the lens is equipped with a mechanism that significantly suppresses focus breathing. As well as this, there’s micro-step aperture control that ensures smooth exposure change.
Focusing
The lens featuring an effective and reliable AF system that offers smooth, fast and silent focus performance with a maximum sensor drive of 240fps. Of course, this AF performance is essential for both photography and video work, but there are other options available. This lens features a non-linear setting that allows you to shift your focus with variable amounts according to the rotation speed of the focus ring.
The Build
This lens is lightweight and compact in size. It weighs in at just 310g and seamlessly flows with Panasonic’s full-frame mirrorless cameras, such as the LUMIX S5 camera body. Adding to its design is that it is both dust and splash resistant, and can operate in harsh conditions down to minus 10 degrees! This design means that you can continue to capture stunning photos and videos even when the weather begins to turn.

FAQs:
Can the non-linear focus shifting be adjusted?
The sensitivity (the amount of focus shift per rotational quantum) can be selected from 90° to 360° by 30° to enable intended focus operation.
Is this lens exclusively for full-frame L-mount lenses?
While this lens is designed for L-mount mirrorless cameras, the lens can also be used on APS-C models where it provides a 36mm focal length.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
