Featuring a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor, the Lumix S1 boasts an impressive dynamic range with exceptional image clarity. The new Venus Engine, coupled with Multipixel Luminance Generation and Intelligent Detail Processing, produce natural, high-resolution expression while suppressing colour moiré. Three-dimensional Colour Control also improves the colour reproduction of both bright areas and shadows. Thanks to the high-performance sensor and engine, true-to-life images from low to high sensitivity are realised. The LUMIX S1 is an ideal camera especially in low-light situations with minimal noise even at the maximum ISO 51,200. 4K and AI technology are also featured in the S1, as is an HDR/HLG mode, adding to an already impressive arsenal.
Key Features: Panasonic Lumix S1 Digital Camera Body
Panasonic LUMIX S1 | Real-world field test in Snowdonia
6-stop 5-axis Dual I.S
The LUMIX S1 combinies 5-axis body image stabilisation and the 2-stop optical image stabiisation as found in the LUMIX S Series lense. The 5-axis Dual I.S compensates for larger camera movements, which previously would not have been possible. This is also useful in low-light situations, as it allows the user to shoot using a slower shutter speed without worrying about motion blur.
High Resolution Mode - 187MP (S1R) / 96MP
High Resolution mode enables ultra-high precision photo shooting. Eight consecutive images are automatically shot while shifting the sensor using the Body I.S. mechanism and combined into a single RAW image. This mode is ideal for taking natural landscapes or fine arts with delicate details. However, it can also be used in situations where moving subjects are included in the scene, by switching the sub mode.
HLG Photo Mode – New Style of Photo Expression
Panasonic's HLG Photo mode makes shooting shooting bright lights, such as sparkling starlight or glaring sunlight, easier. It provides a wider dynamic range to allowing the camera to capture light and shadows with more natural contrast. Photographers can view those images on the latest Panasonic HLG-compliant 4KTV via HDMI cable connection or other HLG-compliant devices.
High-precision Shutter Unit
The new shutter unit offers a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 second to capture fast moving subjects and to use a high-speed lens with a fully open aperture - even outdoors. The external flash can be synchronised with the industry’s fastest shutter speed of a maximum 1/320 second.
High-speed, High-precision AF of Approximately 0.08 sec
Panasonic have developed autofocus technology that works in tandem across the lens, camera sensor, and image engine to provide staggeringly fast AF performance. The lens and sensor communicate at a maximum 480fps. Combining the Contrast AF with DFD technology, the LUMIX S1 achieves an ultra-high-speed, high-precision AF of approximately 0.08 sec.
Superior low-light performance in conditions down to -6EV
The LUMIX S1 boasts -6EV luminance detection performance with Low Light AF thanks to the higher sensitivity and optimised tuning of the sensor.

Adoption of AI Technology
The LUMIX S1 also incorporates Advanced AI Technology that detects specific subjects – humans and fast-moving animals. The LUMIX S1 keeps tracking these subjects even when they turn their back to the camera.
Video Recording Performance
4K 60p/50p video recording is available in the LUMIX S1. The LUMIX S1 is also capable of recording with no crop factor, using a full-pixel readout in 30p/25p. Users can also capture video with no time limit for both Full-HD and 4K 30p/25p, as well as HDR (High Dynamic Range). The S1 boasts 4:2:2 10-bit 4K 30p/25p internal video recording, 4K 60p/50p HDMI output and V-Log with a software upgrade key (to be sold separately).
High Speed Video
The High Speed Video lets you record slow motion video in 4K (max. 60 fps / 50fps) and FHD (max. 180fps / 150fps).
The Largest-in-class Real View Finder
The largest-in-class Real View Finder boasts the world’s highest 5,760k-dot resolution. The 0.78x magnification ratio can be switched to 0.7x or 0.74x according to the shooting situation. Adoption of a high-speed, high-precision OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) for the LVF achieves smooth display at 60fps / 120fps (switchable) and high-speed response with minimum time lag of less than 0.005 sec as well as 10,000:1 high contrast for exceptional visibility.
Triaxial Tilt Rear Monitor and Status LCD
The 2,100K-dot high resolution monitor in 3:2 aspect ratio features a triaxial tilt moving element to secure both durability and operational ease, as well as a touch control system. The LUMIX S1 includes a largest-in-class Status LCD on the top, allowing users to check the settings at a glance.
Dual Memory Card Slot
The Dual Memory Card slot is compatible with SD Memory Cards (UHS-II) and XQD Memory Cards for high-speed, high-capacity, continuous data recording. It will also be compatible with CFexpress in the near future.
To be tough enough to withstand heavy field use, the main structure is composed of a magnesium alloy full die-cast front/rear frame. Robust construction and a sealing for every joint, dial, and button make the LUMIX S1 not only dust resistant and splash resistant but also operates down to -10 degrees Centigrade. The shutter unit is also durable for approximately 400,000 cycles.

Can I repay early? If so how?
No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.
What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?
Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.
What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?
Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan.
