Intelligent Design

This lens has been designed for versatility, portably and style. The Pentax-FA HD 77mm f1.8 Limited Lens combines traditional lens aesthetics such as an aperture ring with more sleek, portable and modern features. In addition to what is an already very portable lens, this lens features a fully-integrated lens hood that can be deployed at a moments notice should you start to see lens flare. The lens also comes with an exclusive aluminium lens cap and a practical lens bag.

Advanced Coatings

Pentax has used various features throughout the lens structure, which is comprised of 7 glass elements in 6 groups. Most notably is the use of their patented multi-layer HD coating. You may think that most new lenses offer multi-layered coatings of some sort, but compared to standard multi-layer lens treatments, Pentax's coatings offer significantly higher light transmission with low reflection. This results in more contrasted and sharper images without flare or ghosting, even in backlit conditions.

As well as the multi-layer HD coatings, the front element of the Pentax-FA HD 77mm f1.8 features another exclusive Pentax coating - An SP (Super Protect) coating. This fluorine coating protects the lens is specially designed to not only repel dust, water and grease but make it easier to wipe any debris that does hit your front lens.

The Limited Series

Some 25 years ago, PENTAX introduced the ‘Limited Series' at the time of traditional SLR technology.
