How much camera gear fits inside the 50L version?
With the L insert installed, the bag accommodates up to three standard DSLRs or mirrorless bodies and as many as nine lenses when configured with L + XS inserts. It fits larger optics, too, including a 200-600mm zoom or a 400mm prime. The divider system lets you shift the balance between camera kit and personal items, and the expandable top section adds 10 litres for clothing or bulkier layers. It is also sized to carry DJI series drones securely within the insert layout.
What makes the AceFrame harness different from a standard camera backpack?
The AceFrame system uses a 3D arch frame made from 7000-series aluminium, shaped to follow the curve of your back. Combined with hollowed shoulder and waist straps, it spreads weight more evenly and improves airflow across your back panel. The FreeFit adjustment offers four back-length settings, so you can tune the fit properly rather than just tightening straps and hoping for the best.
Is the insert removable, and can it be used separately?
Yes. The camera insert attaches with custom buckles and detaches quickly. You can use it as a standalone shoulder bag, or clip it out and lay it flat for open access when working from a vehicle or base camp. That flexibility makes the bag practical for travel days where you do not need the full 50L capacity on your back.
How well does the bag handle bad weather?
The HyperGuard material combines CORDURA® fabric with a PU coating, offering strong abrasion resistance and protection against light rain. Splash-proof YKK zips add another layer of protection, and a dedicated rain cover is included for heavier downpours. For mountain or coastal conditions where showers come and go, that layered approach makes a noticeable difference.
Are there enough external attachment points for larger support gear?
Yes. The front panel carries a large tripod, while both sides hold either a tripod or a water bottle. Additional attachment points allow trekking poles or ice axes to be secured, and the base works with straps for sleeping bags or mats. It is designed with longer hikes in mind rather than just short walks from the car to the location.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
