Mountaineering harness design

What sets the OnePro apart from other camera backpacks is the AceFrame harness system. Instead of the usual foam back panel, PGYTECH uses a 7-series aerospace-grade aluminium 3D arch frame to maintain shape and properly transfer weight to the waist belt. On longer walks, the pack sits upright, air moves across your back, and the load feels planted rather than sagging. The FreeFit four-position back length adjustment lets you tune the fit to your torso, making a noticeable difference once you start carrying heavier camera equipment. The hollowed shoulder and waist straps reduce bulk while maintaining airflow and comfort.

Multiple access points

With the OnePro Focus, access is practical and well thought through. The 180° rear opening lays the bag flat so you can see the entire camera compartment at once. Dividers are fully customisable and hold shape well, so heavier glass does not collapse into neighbouring sections. On a working shoot, the dual quick-access points are beneficial. The large top opening makes it straightforward to pull out a long lens vertically, while the side access lets you swing the bag around and grab a body without setting it down.

HyperGuard fabric and weather protection

The newly developed HyperGuard material combines CORDURA fabric with a high-performance PU coating. In the hand, it feels lighter than traditional heavy-duty packs but still dense enough to protect your gear. CORDURA’s abrasion resistance gives reassurance when the bag comes into contact with rock, concrete, or gravel. Splash-proof YKK zips, magnetic compression buckles and the included rain cover give you layered protection rather than relying on a single barrier. There is also a hidden AirTag pocket and anti-theft zipper loops, which make sense when travelling through airports or working in crowded cities.

Modular layout for flexible storage

The sandwich-style front compartment expands or compresses depending on what you are carrying. Leave it slim for pure camera work, or open it up to hold a jacket, helmet or extra layers. It keeps the bulk separate from the main camera bay, which helps maintain structure. For enhanced organisation, there are dedicated battery pockets with power indicators, a left pocket sized for power banks and card readers, dual side pockets for tripods or bottles, and both front and rear laptop compartments. The waist belt includes space for a phone or snacks, plus attachment points for camera clips and carabiners.

For those who want more modularity, the optional companion pouch can mount to the shoulder straps as a chest pack or attach to the top of the bag, extending capacity without disturbing the main compartment.

How much gear does the 25L version realistically hold?

The 25L OnePro Focux backpack holds two standard mirrorless or DSLR bodies with up to 9 lenses and can fit a 600mm prime lens or DJI series drones, depending on your layout. The depth of the main compartment and the rigidity of the aluminium frame mean it handles heavier glass without the structure collapsing. There is also room for a laptop and personal items.

Is the harness system noticeably different from a standard camera backpack?

Yes, particularly over longer distances. The aluminium frame and proper waist belt transfer weight to your hips rather than hanging it entirely off your shoulders. Once adjusted using the FreeFit back length system, the bag sits higher and feels more stable when climbing or walking on uneven ground. Ventilation is also better thanks to the suspended back panel design.

Can it handle outdoor and travel work in poor weather?

The HyperGuard CORDURA fabric resists abrasion and light rain on its own, and the splash-proof YKK zips add another layer of protection. For heavier rain, the supplied rain cover gives full external shielding. Buy now pay later

The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
