The Polaroid Go Gen 3 Pokémon Pikachu Edition brings one of Pokémon’s most recognisable characters to Polaroid’s smallest analogue camera. Created to celebrate 30 years of Pokémon, its bright yellow body features Pikachu line art, a Poké Ball shutter button, and a lanyard charm shaped like Pikachu’s iconic tail. Underneath the new look is the latest Go Gen 3, with an updated lens for sharper photos and more flattering, zoomed-in selfies, plus a stronger flash for better results across a wider range of lighting conditions. Pair it with Pokémon Edition Go film, and you can collect different Pokémon designs and darkslides as you shoot.

Updated lens for perfecting selfies

The updated fixed-focus polycarbonate resin lens is one of the key upgrades in the Go Gen 3, producing sharper photos and more flattering selfies. Its 63.75mm focal length creates tighter framing than previous versions, bringing subjects closer in the frame and helping you fit up to three people into a shot at arm's length. Dual f14.4 and f32 apertures also help the camera adapt to different lighting conditions, while the built-in selfie mirror makes it easier to line up self-portraits and group shots before pressing the shutter.

Improved flash performance

A stronger flash helps the Go Gen 3 deliver better-looking photos as light levels drop. Using a vacuum discharge tube flash system, the flash provides more illumination when shooting indoors, in the evening, or in other lower-light environments. Because instant film responds directly to the available light, flash performance plays an important role in the final image. The upgraded flash helps keep subjects brighter and more visible, making it easier to capture gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments with confidence.

Double-exposure and self-timer modes

The Go Gen 3 includes creative tools that go beyond simple point-and-shoot photography. Self-timer mode gives you time to step into the frame, making group photos and self-portraits much easier without needing someone behind the camera. Double-exposure mode lets you combine two images onto a single print, creating layered photographs with a distinctive analogue look. Whether you're experimenting creatively or simply capturing friends together, these modes add extra versatility without complicating the shooting experience.

Polaroid Go film compatibility

The Polaroid Go Gen 3 uses Polaroid Go film, producing compact instant prints with a 47 x 46mm image area on a 53.9 x 66.6mm print. The smaller format keeps both the camera and prints highly portable. These pocket-sized photos are easy to carry, display, share, or keep as mementoes. Small enough to fit inside wallets, notebooks, and even some phone cases, they offer a fun way to hold onto moments long after they've happened.

For the full Pokémon experience, you can also load up with special Pokémon Edition Go film featuring a range of Pokémon-inspired frame designs. Custom Pokémon silhouette darkslides protect the film inside each pack and automatically eject when loaded into the camera; they can be collected alongside your finished prints.
