Ultimate Colour Control

The Q50R2 LED light features a unique RGBX Spectral Science Colour Engine (RGBX SSCE) to deliver a choice of more than one billion colours. It provides a complete range of potential spectral fingerprints available for each colour within the entire range of possible colours. It creates a distributed colour palette and delivers a natural colour control experience. It also enables the output to be desaturated for colour-matching third-part fixtures or creative intent.

Adaptable Connectivity

The integrated controls can be used to locally control the Rainbow 2 lights, and it supports both wired and wireless connections. It does not need any additional data boxes, transmitters or receivers, as it provides advanced networking architecture solutions and scalable options. There is a built-in Ethernet node for expanding data versatility. In an ad-hoc wired network, the Cat 5/6 RJ45 in/out ports can be used for lead/follow control of multiple fixtures. Wireless connection is available via DMX, Bluetooth, Artnet using Wi-Fi, etc.

Ossium Mounting System

The integrated Ossium Mounting System allows you to mount industry-standard hardware for fast and safe rigging. The slider is fitted for a seamless manoeuvre along the Ossium rail, and a simple knob can be used to tighten the slider to the preferred spot. Mounting points can easily be changed by pairing with the Ossium Baby Pin, Battery Plate, or the Rotator, and four 1/4-20 threads can be used to attach multiple accessories.

Power Anywhere

The R2 light can be seamlessly powered through either the auxiliary DC input or the universal AC power input. It is compatible with a wide range of industry-standard batteries that can be mounted by using Ossium battery plates. The direct AC input connection, without a power supply, makes swapping batteries easy and reduces the downtime on set. It can also be used with an external battery that prevents the need for duplicate lights.

How much does it weigh?

The Rainbow 2 LED light has an aluminium and plastic housing, making it lightweight. It weighs only 1.5kg and can easily be transported from one place to another.

What is the light’s colour temperature?

The tunable white light of this LED lamp has a colour temperature from 1750K to 10000K.

How can the Ossium Mounting System be used?

The Ossium Mounting System (OMS) has 5 components – magnets, a baby pin, rotator, battery plate, and the slider. Four 1/4”-20 threads can be used with the system to allow the attachment of multiple accessories. The slider can be used to change the mounting points, and the baby pin allows for the rigging of industry hardware.

How do you read the status lights?

The light has two status lights – Data LED and Wireless LED to show the connection type and status. Solid Data LED means ‘Data received’ and no light means ‘No data received’. Solid Wireless LED shows that it is connected to a wireless device and no light means there is no connection. If the light is slowly flashing, it means that the transmitter is not receiving data and if it is flashing fast, it means that the light is connected but the device is not found.
