2nd Generation Quality
This second-generation version of the Samyang AF 35mm f1.4 II Lens for Sony E improves in all areas, enhancing image quality, overall sharpness and operability. The optical pathway is made up of 11 glass elements arranged into 9 distinct groups that together provide that edge-to-edge sharpness.
A new feature of this iteration is the use of 2 ASP aspherical elements that deliver stunning contrast and amazing resolution. This arrangement of lenses provides a versatile 35mm focal length that is suitable for a range of applications. Adding to the flexibility of this lens, it offers a minimum focus distance is just 29cm allowing you to capture unique perspectives in your shots.
In addition, this lens features Samyang's advanced coating technology that helps maintain that exceptional image clarity, even in adverse lighting conditions. And finally, this 2nd-gen lens features an improvement to its CCI, or Colour Contribution Index. This results in clearer, more accurate images.
Enhanced Aperture Control
This lens features a versatile aperture range from a minimum f16 all the way to its maximum f1.4. This wide, bright and fast maximum aperture allows for enhanced control and the easier capture of images in low light, especially when shooting handheld. Moreover, this aperture control allows for better management of depth of field. The 9-bladed circular aperture diaphragm also helps produce beautifully natural and smooth bokeh that benefits both photographic and video applications.
Auto Focus Performance
A defining characteristic of this lens series is its versatile AF capabilities. This Samyang AF 35mm f1.4 II Lens works together with Sony’s intelligent AF systems to provide impressive performance. Improving on its predecessor, this version of the lens offers faster, quieter and more precise AF and tracking that’s achieved via Samyang’s advanced Linear Stepping Motor (STM). Compared to the 1st version, the AF in this lens is optimised for both video and photography tracking the subject accurately and quickly with minimised vibration and noise.
Construction
This lens is designed to complement the aesthetic of the Sony E cameras they are intended for. They have a sleek, stylish and modern design that is packed with features that enhance its operation. The lens features a tactile aluminium focus ring as well as both a customisable Focus Hold Button and Custom Switch. The inclusion of these buttons increases operability, allowing you to customise the lens to best suit your workflow be it shooting stills or video. In addition to its operation improvements, this lens is also weather-sealed in 4 areas, protecting the lens from light rain, snow and dust.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
