Is the WiTalk WT3S a true full-duplex system?

Yes. All three users can speak and listen simultaneously without cutting each other off. There is no push-to-talk behaviour and no limitation on who can speak when, which makes conversations feel natural and continuous during live production.

How do you mute the microphone while using it?

You can mute by flipping the microphone boom upward or by pressing the mute button on the earcup control. Both methods are quick and easy to access without stopping work or taking hands away from other tasks.

What kind of range can I expect in real use?

The system offers up to 400 metres of line-of-sight in open conditions. Indoors or in complex locations, walls and structures will reduce range, but the 1.9GHz band helps maintain stable communication in busy RF environments.

How is the system powered and charged?

Each headset uses a removable battery that charges via USB-C. Remote headsets run up to 18 hours per charge, while the master headset runs up to 10 hours when paired with two remotes. You can also power or charge the headsets while in use through the USB-C port.

Is the system portable and protected for travel?

Yes. The supplied custom hard case is impact-resistant, water-tight, and lockable. It securely stores all three headsets, batteries, and cables, making the system easy to transport between locations without additional cases.

Is the Saramonic WiTalk WT3S expandable beyond three people?

Yes. While the WT3S is supplied as a three-person system, it is part of the wider WiTalk ecosystem and can be expanded as your crew grows. You can add additional remote headsets to increase the system to five users, or integrate a separately available WiTalk-Hub base station with compatible headsets to scale up further, supporting larger teams of up to 17 people. This modular approach allows you to start small and build a larger intercom setup without replacing your existing equipment.
