The Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 AF DG DN Art Lens - Sony E Fit utilises the highest tier of “Art Zoom” performance to deliver a powerful lens that is adaptable to different shooting environments and photographic styles. The lens’ size and weight has been greatly reduced by exploiting the advances made in mirrorless camera systems. This had no effect on the high-resolution and uniformity visible from the centre to the periphery, across the entire zoom range. Expanded Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 AF DG DN Art Lens Key Features:

Stellar Optical Performance

Sigma has strived to create a lens with the utmost optical performance and this truly shows in the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 AF DG DN Art Lens. There are 19 elements in 15 groups consisting of extra-low dispersion glass elements; 6 FLD (“F” low dispersion) glass elements; and 2 Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements. Through incorporating three aspheric lenses, axial chromatic aberration and sagittal coma aberrations are subdued. This comes in especially handy as the effects of such aberrations are hard to correct in editing.

Designed for the Latest Mirrorless Cameras

The Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 AF DG DN Art Lens has been designed for the use with the latest mirrorless camera systems; notably L-Mount and Sony-E Mount cameras. Thanks to this, it can exploit the advances made in said mirrorless cameras making it suitable for a wide array of photographic genres. Whatever the situation, the lens will deliver its best performance when used by an advanced amateur photographer or a professional. The AFL button is a great example of the combined effect of the lens and the mirrorless camera. A range of functions can be delegated to the AFL button on the lens from the camera body; increasing the operability during shooting. The ease of focus is assured thanks to the introduction of the stepping motor and the cutting-edge algorithm which effectively achieves balance between acceleration and quietness of the AF drive. Additionally, the lens works with Eye-Detection AF which has been frequently adopted in mirrorless cameras; more so than DSLRs. This is great for high-precision focusing during portrait photography.

Suitable for a Plethora of Photographic Genres

The lens features a strong, durable body with a dust-and-splash-proof mount. Thanks to this, and the employment of the zoom lock mechanism (which prevents the lens barrel from extending without the photographer’s intent) the lens can deliver excellent performance in most situations and photographic genres. Photographers benefit from the minimum focusing distance of 18cm at the wide-angle end; and maximum magnification of 1:2.9 at the wide-angle end and 1:4.5 at the telephoto end.

Can I repay early? If so how?

No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.

What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?

Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.

What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?

Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan.
