Expanded Sigma 50mm f2 DG DN I Contemporary Lens Key Features:
Premium Optics
The Sigma 50mm f2 DG DN I Contemporary Lens owes its sharpness and detail-rich results to its advanced optical design. With eleven elements intricately arranged into nine groups, this lens captures each and every frame with perfect clarity. This degree of quality stems from the SLD glass elements used to minimise aberrations. Combined with the wide f2 aperture, the Sigma 50mm f2 DG DN I Contemporary Lens is the perfect option for working in low-light and back-lit environments.
Focusing Flexibility
Driving this intricate optical design is Sigma’s high-speed stepping motor. Thanks to this feature, the Sigma 50mm f2 DG DN I Contemporary Lens delivers faster and more accurate focusing when shooting stills or video. This lens also includes both Direct Manual Focus (DMF) and a focus mode switch to give users the focusing flexibility they need in unpredictable environments.
Intuitive Handling
Controlling your aperture and achieving the perfect depth-of-field is easy with the Sigma 50mm f2 DG DN I Contemporary Lens. The f2 maximum aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm allow users to experiment with subject-background separation, creating natural-looking bokeh and more striking portraits. These parameters can be easily adjusted using the dedicated aperture ring. Thanks to the design of the aperture ring and tactile knurled metal lens hood, users are also provided with an improved grip for intuitive handling and ease of use.
Signature Sigma Design
Even though the Sigma 50mm f2 DG DN I Contemporary Lens has a high-precision construction and durable brass bayonet mount, it only weighs 345g.
