Thanks to an efficient internal cooling system and intelligent airflow design, the RC 100B maintains consistent brightness without overheating, even during prolonged use.

The unit achieves a CRI of 97+ and TLCI of 98+, ensuring natural skin tones and precise colour rendering on set. It also boasts an SSI of 91 at 3200K and TM-30 values of Rf 97 and Rg 102, metrics that confirm its ability to maintain colour consistency under mixed lighting or across multiple fixtures. These specifications make the RC 100B suitable not only for videography, but also for demanding stills shoots where colour accuracy is critical to post-production efficiency.

Included in this kit is the SH73 Grip Handle, which integrates a 73Wh (14.6V / 5000mAh) lithium battery into a streamlined handheld form. This grip provides up to 45 minutes of continuous full-output use, with support for USB-C PD (100W), D-Tap (168W), and BP input and output options. This enables users to power the light from the grip alone or extend runtime by pairing it with additional power sources. The handle features both USB-C and D-Tap outputs, making it suitable for powering other accessories on set, such as monitors or wireless transmitters. It mounts securely via a V-lock interface designed specifically for convenience rather than external battery attachment.

The RC 100B supports a wide range of power inputs, offering users maximum flexibility in both the studio and out in the field field. It accepts USB-C PD up to 100W, mini XLR, and dedicated DC barrel input. Control is equally adaptable; users can fine-tune output and effects manually via the 1.44-inch colour LCD and dual rotary knobs, or wirelessly via the SmallGoGo mobile app. The system also supports DMX control with an optional adapter, making it viable for larger productions or live event integration. Four user presets can be stored for quick recall of preferred settings, helping to streamline repeat setups.

Creative lighting effects with a robust accessory ecosystem

In addition to variable colour temperature control, the RC 100B includes 12 built-in lighting effects that simulate common practical lighting sources such as lightning, candles, TV flicker, and more. These are ideal for creative setups or narrative scenes requiring dynamic visual cues. The light ships with a Bowens mount adapter, silicone diffuser, and mini reflector, and is fully compatible with SmallRig’s growing range of softboxes, grids, battery adapters, and light stands. The housing features multiple 1/4"-20 mounting points with ARRI locating holes, allowing it to be mounted securely to arms, clamps, or tripods in a wide range of orientations. Constructed from flame-retardant PC+ABS with aluminium reinforcement, the light is designed for long-term durability without sacrificing portability.
