The Sony FE 100mm f2.8 Macro G Master OSS is the first Sony lens to exceed the standard 1.0x macro ratio, delivering 1.4x magnification natively and up to 2.8x with the optional 2x teleconverter (SEL20TC). This ratio makes it unique within Sony’s macro line, surpassing the current FE 50mm f2.8 and FE 90mm f2.8 macro options. A 0.26m minimum focus distance allows for extremely tight framing, while the longer focal length preserves working distance compared to shorter macro lenses. As the first macro in the G Master series, it also introduces advanced XA and ED elements, along with Nano AR Coating II, delivering the resolution, contrast, and refined bokeh that define Sony’s flagship optics.
G Master optical design
As a Sony G Master lens, the FE 100mm f2.8 Macro OSS features an advanced optical design of 17 elements in 13 groups. Two extreme aspherical (XA) elements work alongside two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to control spherical and chromatic aberrations, maintaining sharpness and clarity from the centre of the frame to the corner. Nano AR Coating II is applied across key surfaces to reduce flare and ghosting when shooting in intense light, ensuring consistent contrast and colour accuracy. Autofocus and stabilisation

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
