The lens features an advanced intricate optical makeup that consists of 12 elements arranged into 13 groups. This lens uses one ED (Extra-Low Dispersion), one Super ED and one newly developed ED aspherical element, all of which contribute to higher image quality void of unsightly aberrations.
Aiding the optical capabilities is a constant f4 maximum aperture. Available throughout the zoom range, the aperture offers more control in lower light conditions, enhanced control over depth of field and provides greater consistency throughout.
Focusing
The ability to focus with precision is vital to an effective video lens. Moreover, lesser lenses can exhibit a jarring distraction known as ‘focus breathing’ that can plague video capture. Sony’s FE 16-35mm f4 G PZ Lens is designed to combat this and more.
Its optical design and control technology minimises focusing breathing and the lens is fitted with four XD (Extreme Dynamic) Linear Motors which, thanks to their complex construction, deliver impressively fast and accurate focusing across the entire zoom range. The motors are contactless which eliminates the need for gears and mechanical couplings, further increasing focusing speed while keeping the movement quiet.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
