This wireless handheld microphone transmitter features a dynamic microphone capsule with a cardioid pickup pattern, picking up sounds from the front and back of the microphone. It eliminates any unwanted background noise in noisy environments such as public areas. In addition to the included high-quality microphone capsule, it is compatible with a wide range of Sony DWX Series capsules and can be easily interchanged as per the need. It includes threading of 1.25”/28 pitch (31.3 mm/pitch 1.0 mm), making it compatible with many industry-standard thread third-party microphone capsules.

High-Quality Sound with Digital Processing

The advanced digital audio processing technology in the transmitter, by Sony, delivers high-quality audio. It maintains an improved transient response performance and its digital audio interface enables direct digital sound recording. It features a carrier frequency range of 470.025 MHz to 542.000 MHz (UHF-TV channels 21 to 29) up to a transmission range of 100 metres. It reproduces the transient sounds and consonants with stunning accuracy, resulting in a clear and natural sound. The rejection of unwanted noise expands the range of applications in which the transmitter can be used.

Compact and Lightweight Construction

The transmitter has a reduced size and weight with durable, metal housing for indoor and outdoor use. It enables greater versatility and mobility in applications such as ENG (electronic news gathering), EFP (electronic field production), video production and documentaries. The compact design enables you to easily use it with small camcorders and interchangeable-lens digital cameras and is compatible with the SMAD-P5 adapter.

NFC SYNC Mode and Auto-Gain

The NFC (near-field communication) SYNC feature of the transmitter allows a simple and secure channel setting between the transmitter and the receiver. Pressing and holding the NFC/Sync button on the receiver enables automatic scanning of the clearest RF channel. It automatically syncs up to the transmitter and you can connect multiple receivers with a single transmitter for broadcast applications. The Auto Gain mode enables volume control for situations when you don’t know the volume of the speaker. It uses a limiter and sets the gain moderately high to prevent any audio distortion. The +15 dB audio boost compensates for the situations when the speaker is not close enough to the microphone.
