STC Clip IRP590 Filter for Canon APS-C

The STC Clip IR Pass 590nm filter for Canon APS-C camera bodies is a new and unique solution for minimising colour shift in your images and ensuring a clear focus. The filter is easily attached just above the imaging sensor rather than the lens. It fits snuggly and stays secure after the lens is attached to the camera body. IR pass filters are ideal for infrared photography. They allow infrared light to reach the imaging sensor while preventing visible light from doing so. This results in more detailed, sharper and higher-in-contrast image.

• The filter itself is made from Absorbing IR Glass
• Offers a 94% transmission and 110-deg reflectivity
• The frame is crafted from A2 stainless steel that is virtually non-magnetic and less brittle at low temperatures
• The glass in the frame can be replaced with another filter including an Astro Filter or the ND filter
• Features a high-quality double-sided NANO Anti-Smudge coating that guards against water and grease
• Recommended focal distance for the used lens is 14mm or more
• The CMOS sensor side should be facing the sky when the clip filter is being removed
• Optical axis will change with the installation of the clip filter as the angle of view will become wider
• Please note that for the best effect the clip filter should be used with an infrared converted camera
• Compatible with Canon EOS 7D Mark II/EOS 80D/EOS 70D/EOS 77D/9000D
• Not compatible with Canon EOS M series mirrorless cameras unless used with an EF-EOS M mount adapter
