The Nucleus-M is a revolutionary and highly customizable 3-channel wireless lens control system. It gives you full control over focus, aperture and zoom either via the FIZ hand unit or via the two wireless hand grips. You can even split control of the channels between the handheld unit and the wireless handles at the touch of a button if you wish. The wireless range of the handheld device and handles is up to 1,000 feet.

The handles can be attached to the included rosette holders to hold them in your hand. Additionally, they can be attached to top bar-based gimbals with the included Nucleus-M Hand Grip to Gimbal Adapters or to ring-based gimbals with the optional Nucleus-M Hand Grip Universal Gimbal Ring Adapters.

Each motor has its own built-in motor drive that communicates directly with the hand unit and handles. This means you don't have to mount a separate MDR on your rig, allowing for more compact camera equipment and shorter setup time. Simply set the motors and hand unit/handles to the same channel and you have full control.

The motors allow for automatic lens calibration as well as manual calibration if you are using lenses that do not have fixed end stops at close focus and infinity. The motors are designed to clamp onto 19mm or 15mm rods (with the included rod bushings). This clamp design allows you to easily attach and remove the motors without having to remove other accessories from your setup. Each motor has a 0.8 mod, 35 tooth, 32 pitch gear attached, which is the standard size for cinema lenses. The torque of the Nucleus M motor at 14.8 V is 2.5 N-m. To power the motors, you only need to use one power port on your camera rig. Simply connect the P-Tap power cable to one of the motors and then connect the other motors using the short 7-pin cables. The motors can be operated via a power source with an output voltage of 7.2V-24V.

The hand unit and handles are each powered by two rechargeable 18650 batteries (batteries NOT included). When fully charged, the batteries in the handles last up to 2 days and in the hand unit up to 10 hours. Remote start/stop is possible by plugging a compatible Nucleus-M R/S cable into the open 7-pin connector on the motor. This then gives you the option of remotely controlling the motor via the hand unit and/or the handles.

**PLEASE NOTE: The R/S cables offered for our wooden handles are NOT compatible with the Nucleus-M as the technology and pin configurations are completely different. The R/S cables for the wooden handles are not safe to use with the Nucleus-M. Only use cables that we have developed exclusively for the Nucleus-M system.
