FAQs:
What are the different light housings available?
The microscope supports both a 30-Watt halogen bulb and an energy-saving 30-Watt LED illumination for a stable illumination intensity and colour temperature. These light housings can be changed as per the requirement. There is an in-bus key screwdriver that is needed to take out and replace the lamp housing.
How can the light manager and eco-mode be activated?
Simply triple-click on the light intensity knob to activate or disable the eco-mode. When it is activated, both the LED layers on the microscope stand will start to blink slowly and the microscope goes into sleep mode for up to 30 minutes. Slight movement of the nosepiece or the knob will re-activate the microscope, disabling the eco-mode. Push the light intensity knob for 5 seconds to activate or disable the light manager. The LED belt on both sides will indicate the light status as per the lens.
What are the optimum operation and storage conditions?
For storage, the microscope has a permissible ambient temperature of 10-40 degrees Celsius and permissible air humidity of a maximum of 75% at 35-degree Celsius. The same conditions are optimum for a seamless operation of the microscope with a maximum permissible altitude of 2000 metres.
What accessories can be used with the microscope?
Lots of different accessories can be used with the microscope to expand the possibilities such as a swivelling mirror, a transport case, a polarizer, and a fluorescence tube. The mirror can be used to adjust ambient light when there is no electricity and the polarizer can be used for polarizing contrast in the transmitted light. The fluorescence tube can turn the microscope into an LED fluorescence microscope.
What is the stage type?
The Zeiss Primostar 1 Upright Compound Microscope has a right-handed stage with a spring lever left slide holder. The rackless covered stage enables right-hand practice allowing you to use the focus drive with your left hand.
