The company that we know today as Canon started in the 1930's when a group of scientists decided to make their presence know in the field of camera technology and created Japan's first 35mm focal plane-shutter camera prototype, know as 'The Kwanon'. Their success grew and they became known in the UK in 1976. Eleven years later they introduced the EOS System (Electro-Optical System, also the name of a goddess of the dawn), establishing the Canon Foundation.

The Canon EOS R6 III offers a big jump for the series in overall performance and versatility. Borrowing speed and power from Canon’s R5 lineup, it features a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor, burst shooting at 40fps (electronic) and 12fps (mechanical), a 150-RAW image expanded buffer, and a refined pre-capture system. Canon’s renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II brings fast, precision focusing, while video performance gets a big upgrade with Open Gate 7K 60p RAW and 4K 120p internal recording.
Canon has also released the RF 45mm f1.2 STM lens. This lens combines L-series speed with the compact, lightweight design of standard RF lenses. Its wide, bright f1.2 aperture and 9-blade diaphragm produces beautifully smooth, circular bokeh and expressive depth-of-field control. Add in a fast, near-silent STM autofocus motor in a lens weighing just 346g, and you have a versatile and balanced match for the new EOS R6 III.
