Powerful CMOS Sensor

The EOS R6 Mark II features a full-frame 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor that captures high-quality images in any environment for any project. It works hand-in-hand with the DIGIC X processor that powers many of the camera’s powerful features that provide a balance across resolution, low-light performance and speed.

Keeping up with fast-moving action, the EOS R6 Mark II can continuously shoot at up to 40fps electronically and up to 12fps mechanically so you’ll never miss a moment. The electronic shutter also works with the camera’s AE and AF tracking. The EOS R6 Mark II has an ISO range of 100-102,400 which can extend to 204,800 so you’ll still be able to take quality photos in extremely low-light conditions.

Dual Pixel AF II System

The state-of-the-art Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology seen in the EOS R6 Mark I makes a return to track subjects and keep them sharp and in focus as they move. Deep-learning artificial intelligence is used to recognise people, vehicles such as cars, trains and aircraft, and animals such as dogs, cats and birds. The EOS R6 Mark II will search for and track a subject’s eyes, face or body.

For filmmakers, a new Detect Only option for the Movie Servo AF has been added to the EOS R6 Mark II. Similar to the Face Only feature found in the Cinema EOS C70 camera, this function will remain at its focus point if the subject moves out of the focus area. For example, if People is specified as a Subject, the focus will not change if that person walks out of shot. This avoids the often unwanted effect of the camera automatically refocusing on the background.

High-End Video Production

Not just capable of capturing stunning photography, the EOS R6 Mark II also records incredible video too. Using the full width of the 6K sensor, the camera records oversamples 4K 60fps footage that has clearer clarity and less noise than standard 4K. When using the HDMI output of the camera with an Atomos Ninja V+ recorder, it is possible to record 6K RAW footage in ProRes RAW codec for the ultimate performance.

The EOS R6 Mark II can also record at 1080P at 180fps to capture fast action and create smooth slow motion. There is also a movie pre-recording function that captures footage three or five seconds before the video record button is pressed so you don’t lose unmissable moments. The camera can also be used as a high-quality webcam or streaming device as it features UVC support. With up to six hours of recording time, you can create cinematic projects without being stopped.

Effortless Functionality

The EOS R6 Mark II has been designed so it’s easier than ever to not just take advantage of the camera’s powerful features but to also customise the camera and your workflow. The multifunction shoe first seen on the EOS R3 is included with the EOS R6 Mark II, allowing a range of accessories to be used with the camera. From the Canon Speedlite EL-5 FLashgun to the DM-E1D digital microphone, the EOS R6 Mark II can work with useful accessories and adapt to any situation .

For capturing video over longer shoot periods, the camera has an advanced overheat management system warns of overheating risks before they happen and conserves power in intelligent ways. When storing and transferring images, a dual SD card slot has a second slot that can be used for overflow storage, real-time backup or as a dedicated video/stills card. An assortment of other features - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, 3-inch touchscreen monitor being some - are all built and implemented to let you focus on creating beautiful imagery.

24-105mm f4 L Lens

The highly versatile Canon RF 24-105mm f4L IS USM lens offers photographers and filmmakers an ideal balance between performance, portability and image quality. The zoom covers wide-angle, standard and telephoto focal lengths, whilst its 5-stop Image Stabiliser (IS) preserves sharpness in low light. Thanks to a constant f4 aperture, the focal length can be quickly changed without adjusting the exposure. It is particularly useful for travel and wildlife photography as the tough build protects the lens against dust and moisture.
