Windy coastlines and mountain valleys needn’t be a problem with the DJI Avata 2. This drone maintains smooth and steady flight in winds up to 10.7 m/s (38kph Level 5 Wind Resistance). And, thanks to The Return to Home (RTH) function, the aircraft will automatically return to its starting point whenever the signal drops or the battery is running low. Combined with the new binocular fisheye sensors for downward and backward visual positioning during low-altitude and indoor flights, the Avata 2 guarantees flight safety for maximum confidence.

The UK’s drone rules are based on the risk of the flight—where you fly, the proximity to other people, and the size and weight of your drone. Any drone with a camera, regardless of weight, will require an Operator ID. However, an additional Flyer ID is required for drones weighing 250g and over. Other qualifications are still needed for commercial drone use, and even then, this doesn't mean you can fly your drone anywhere. Ensure you know the rules and consult the Drone Code before you fly; if you want to fly commercially, you must take the PfCO CAA exam (Permission for Commercial Operations).

What is the difference between the DJI Avata and DJI Avata 2?

Eight key differences separate the DJI Avata 2 from the original model. DJI has introduced an Easy ACRO mode to help users perform Flips, Rolls, and 180° Drifts for stunning aerial footage with a single push. The sensor has changed from a 1/1.7″ CMOS Super-Wide-Angle Camera to a 1/1.3″ CMOS Super-Wide-Angle Camera with the introduction of HDR video recording. Whilst DJI states that the DJI Avata 2 has a maximum flight altitude of 500m, the CAA states that the maximum legal limit for flying is 120m. Maximum flight altitudes also vary by country and region. We recommend following local laws and regulations before flying your DJI Avata 2.

What is ACRO mode?

Easy ACRO mode, or the manual/rate mode, operates without the automatic levelling feature. When the control stick is released, the quadcopter maintains its roll and pitch positions, requiring the pilot to constantly make manual adjustments to prevent loss of control and potential crashes. Hence, it's dubbed "manual mode" due to the need for continuous hands-on control.

The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan).
