How compact is the DJI Avata 2?
DJI built the Avata 2 to be more compact and lightweight than its predecessor. This drone weighs only 377 g and measures 185 × 212 × 64 mm (L×W×H) in size. It's an excellent option for beginners and hobbyists looking for a compact option to fly at low altitudes or even indoors.
What is the difference between the DJI Avata and DJI Avata 2?
Eight key differences separate the DJI Avata 2 from the original model. DJI has introduced an Easy ACRO mode to help users perform Flips, Rolls, and 180° Drifts for stunning aerial footage with a single push. The sensor has changed from a 1/1.7″ CMOS Super-Wide-Angle Camera to a 1/1.3″ CMOS Super-Wide-Angle Camera with the introduction of HDR video recording. The Avata 2 also benefits from 10-bit D-Log M Color Mode, Downward/Backward Visual Positioning, an increased 23-Min Max Flight Time with support for PD fast charging, DJI O4 Video Transmission with a 13km Max Transmission Distance, and a larger 46GB of internal memory.
What is the DJI Avata 2’s maximum flight altitude?
Whilst DJI states that the DJI Avata 2 has a maximum flight altitude of 500m, the CAA states that the maximum legal limit for flying is 120m. Maximum flight altitudes also vary by country and region. We recommend following local laws and regulations before flying your DJI Avata 2.
What is ACRO mode?
Easy ACRO mode, or the manual/rate mode, operates without the automatic levelling feature. When the control stick is released, the quadcopter maintains its roll and pitch positions, requiring the pilot to constantly make manual adjustments to prevent loss of control and potential crashes. Hence, it's dubbed "manual mode" due to the need for continuous hands-on control.
How long does the Intelligent Flight Battery take to charge?
With the included DJI Charging Hub (60W max charging power):
From 0 to 100%: approx. 45 min
From 10 to 90%: approx. 30 min
Directly Charging the Drone (30 W max charging power):
From 0 to 100%: approx. 88 min
From 10 to 90%: approx. 60 min
Does the DJI Avata 2 Battery Charging Hub come with an adaptor/cable?
No. Users will need a USB-C type charger. DJI recommends using the DJI 65W Portable Charger or a USB Power Delivery charger. When used with the DJI 65W Portable Charger, the charging hub can fully charge one Intelligent Flight Battery in approximately 45 minutes.
How do you use the Power Accumulation feature?
Insert more than one battery into the charging hub, and press and hold the function button until the status LED turns green. When the status LED of the charging hub pulses green, the charge is transferred from the battery with the lowest power level to the battery with the highest power level. To stop accumulating power, press and hold the function button until the status LED turns yellow. After stopping power accumulation, press the function button to check the power level of the batteries.
How do I link the DJI RC Motion 3 with the DJI Goggles 3?
Firstly, make sure the DJI RC Motion 3 and the DJI Goggles 3 are within 0.5 m of each other during linking. Press and hold the power button on the goggles until they start to beep continuously and the battery-level LEDs start to blink in sequence. Next, press and hold the power button on the motion controller until it beeps continuously and the LEDs blink in sequence. Once linking is successful, the goggles and the motion controller stop beeping and both the battery level LEDs turn solid and display the battery level.
